Indie Time! Glamour Doll Eyes Of the Month - January 2015 + Coupon!
I finally was able to grab a Glamour Doll Eyes OTM subscription, and I have it for the full year (YAY!).
For those that haven't heard of Glamour Doll Eyes before, it's a wonderful indie brand that makes all kinds of makeup products. She recently moved to a new Of the Month site that handles the massive amounts of traffic that has been happening recently. This subscription is $10/month ($15 in Canada and $17 elsewhere) and includes full sized products and usually (but not always) a freebie sample!
I love this adorable little sack that everything came in.
Theme card. Included is the Try More Indie coupon and this one is shareable! Head over to Baroque Cosmetics and get 20% off with 'DESTAI' through March 1st. I'm super excited about trying out another indie brand, now that I'm branching out from mainstreams.
Theme card side two.
Without flash.
With flash.
Included this month!:
Sailing Away - 'A deep royal blue base with a soft coral reef blue overlay. It is finished off with an anchor golden shimmer sheen.'
The card says that cream shadows are still best used over a primer, but that it can be used as a base or alone. This isn't a color that I could normally wear, but it's definitely a great accent eyeliner color! It's super bright and can easily be applied lighter or darker. The creaminess itself was pretty great and I would love to have some neutrals in it!
Be My Anchor - 'A sheer flash of sparkling blue like water with a dusty golden base.'
It's so shimmery, I needed to do with and without flash just for the blue. I love how it looks nude in indirect light, but it made a nice blue glisten in direct. It made my blue eyes pop like crazy! The primer made it stay very nicely, which is something I've found difficult with some loose shadows.
Atomic Astrid - 'A coral colored aqua bomb that is blackberry pomegranate flavored.'
So much yes in this. I already love coral lip products, so the fact that it's moisturizing and has color AND smells amazing, is just great. There was some word that the tubes were difficult to advance, but I had no problem at all.
Pass the Bubbly - 'A beautiful golden rose color with a lovely golden overlay.'
This is the perfect accent to the colors that came this month. While the color varied in each bag, I thought this one worked perfectly. It's from the Customer Appreciation Act released this month, and now I feel like I need all of them in jars!
Candy and a sticker! Patrick loved those taffies, by the way!
This month's bag is valued at $16.25, which is great! The colors worked very well together and this subscription is going to force me to better my makeup and loose shadows skills! Next month's theme is Any Excuse for Chocolate, which I'm very excited about! Did you get OTM this month? Let me know what you thought about it in the comments!
