Boxycharm - December 2014

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription that costs $21/month. They have monthly themes and send items based on those themes. I've seen boxes average 4-5 items, but some have more items. All of the boxes in a month are usually the same (shades may vary), which is good for spoilers. You also have the entire month to sign up and still be eligible to get that month's box. Shipping does take some time, though. They post that they have 5-10 business days to send you box out.

They have a referral program also that earns you charms. Other ways to earn charms includes reviewing items you receive each month as well as bonus charms for taking a box three months in a row. The charms can be redeemed towards month-specific items which will be sent in your next month's box! (If you use my referral, my email is k.boatwright1@gmail.com and I can also send you the referral code if you need it.) This box came fairly quickly, especially considering I didn't actually order it until right at the end of the month. I'm glad they are working on their shipping and their processing side, and hopefully things continue to come fairly quickly!

First look.

Mistura Beauty Solutions Retractable Beauty Brush ($19.99) - I like the concept of this, I just wish the bristles were softer. They are a little rough, and much rougher than some of the other brushes I have. I like the tube that it came in, so it makes a cute present. I'm sure I can find someone to pass this off to.

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette ($39.95/$19.95) - I have one of these that still hasn't been used more than a handful of times. It's a nice palette, but it's not worth the $40 full-price. If you buy it, definitely get it while it's on sale. The colors are decently nice and are similar to some Naked shades, so it's a good starter before going full blown HE!

Eva NYC Hungry Hair Oil Treatment ($12.00) - I was most looking forward to this. My hair has been super dry this winter and I'm always looking for something that helps it get some moisture. This is a tiny tube, but a little definitely goes a long way. I love the smell of Eva-NYC products and would probably use all of them if I could find them in stores.

Eyelashi Mink Lashes (Believer) ($29.00) - I am not a fan of fake eyelashes. They are messy and if you don't do them right and ruin them, they are a waste of money. I already know of a friend that has mastered them and she will definitely love getting a new, fancier, pair.

Be a Bombshell Lip Gloss (Kiss Off) ($14.00) - There were a few options for the BaB lip products. I would have loved something besides a very bright pink glitter lip gloss. This is something I would give to a pre-teen, but definitely not something I would use myself. Some of the other options were absolutely amazing, though, so maybe they will consider that for next time.

The value of this box is $114.94/$94.94, depending on what you consider the real price of the CS palette it. Overall, it definitely could have been better. For something at Christmas, I was hoping for a great eyeliner or some wicked amazing mascara or even a red lip product. Maybe next Christmas will be better! Did you get December's Boxycharm? Let me know what you thought about it in the comments!
