Birchbox - December 2014

Birchbox is the original subscription box, and it's still going strong. Even when the box isn't the greatest, the subscription is usually worth it because of the points system. For those that don't know, Birchbox sends anywhere from 4 to 8 products a month (full size, deluxe sample size, and sample size) and you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or getting referrals. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. Now on to the box!

First Look.

RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer (RUFFIAN Red) ($10.00) - I love, love, love nail polish...seriously. Look in my bedroom and you'll find tons of indies, mainstreams, all kinds of finishes and glitter top coats. The one thing you won't find is more than one red polish...I hate red polishes. This is a great 'classic' color, but its' not for me. I've tried Ruffian in the past and I like it decently (I can find better in indies or certain mainstreams), but it's not something I'll go out of my way for.

Manna Kadar Lip Locked (Lucky) ($0.20) - I honestly don't see how the numbers work on this one, but it's uber cheap according to size...and I love it! It's a great kinda nudey/kinda pinky color and it works great. It is advertised as a stain, but it's not quite dark enough for me to tell if it's staining well.

SeaRX Anti-Wrinkle Facial Lift Treatment Serum ($2.04) - I'm definitely needing a moisturizer this winter, and this is moisturizing while making me feel like I'm doing something good for my skin's future. It helps with the dryness without making me oily, which is nice.

Vasanti Cosmetics Kajal Extreme Intense Eye Pencil (Rose Gold) ($13.50) - This was my chosen product, and I'm so glad I chose it. The Rose Gold shade is shimmery and has enough color to accent another eyeliner or to be worn on it's own. It's super smooth going on and it hasn't ran down my face yet!

Davines Replumping Shampoo ($1.22), Davines Replumping Conditioner ($2.04), Davines Replumping Superlative ($19.75) - I really am starting to get tired of Davines stuff, but all three of these smell amazing. I do wish they would send more than one foil pack for hair products, but I guess they'll never learn. I would definitely considering buying more of these if I weren't so well stocked on hair care products!

The value for this box is $48.75, which is absurd for only $10. On top of that, I was able to review all of the products and receive 70 points in the BB store, which is $7! This box is purely amazing! Probably, I'm so happy because of the eyeliner, but the rest of the box is great too! Did you get BB this month? Let me know what you thought about it in the comments!
