Birchbox #2 - November 2014

Birchbox is the original subscription box, and it's still going strong. Even when the box isn't the greatest, the subscription is usually worth it because of the points system. For those that don't know, Birchbox sends anywhere from 4 to 8 products a month (full size, deluxe sample size, and sample size) and you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or getting referrals. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. Now on to the box!

The theme for November 2014 was Giving and was teamed up with RED for Aids.

Info card.

Fekkai Technician Color Care Luxe Color Masque ($6.04) - I am actually about to start in on this jar, now that I'm clearing out some of my hair products. My hair has been getting super dry and gross at the ends, mostly because I have been growing it out, so I need all of the help I can get. This is also great for color-treated hair, which is definitely me!

dr. brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner ($11.25) - Why is it that so much dr.brandt is coming in boxes. It's a decent product, but I would really like to have the full set to try out together, rather than getting bits and pieces randomly.

Folle de Joie eau de parfum ($1.73) - This perfume isn't bad, but I've finally found a 'signature' perfume that doesn't make me sneeze or cough, so I'm sticking with it for a while. I could see myself using this (if it weren't so darn expensive!)

Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara ($11.60) - So many mascaras! This is a good product and I've tried a ton of Mirenesse products in the past, so this is another to add. I've received this once before so I'm not going to break this one open until some of the other mascaras are cleared out.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain (Heartthrob) ($9.29) - Another super tiny, super expensive lip gloss! The color is really great, though, as long as I don't lose it in my purse. I'm working on not losing it, and hopefully I'll be able to empty it!

Vosges Petits Chocolats (Blood Orange Caramel) ($1.67) - I gave this to Patrick as soon as I opened the box, and he absolutely was unhappy. I was expecting some happiness because of how much he loves caramels, but apparently this was a bad combo with the orange flavor. I would not buy these because they all seem to be a little 'weird.'

The overall value for this box is $44.58, which is absolutely ridiculous for paying $10. I liked enough things to make it worth it, but I would be totally happy if I never got another mascara (at least for a few months). Did you get this month's box? What did you think about it? Let me know in the comments!
