Birchbox - May 2014

I was very excited to see my Birchbox in the mail for May! This month's theme was Freewheeling and included in our boxes was a coupon for Kate Spade Saturday. Even when the box isn't the greatest, I'm always happy to continue my subscription due to the points system. For those that don't know, you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or using someone's referral. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. For $10/month (for the women's box), I think it's worth it for the points alone. Now on to the box!

The shipping box was super cute this month, and gave away the Saturday deal. :)

As always, the women's box is the same (at least it has been for me).

First look!

The introduction card was great and again, super cute.

Information card. I love it when I get these and I will always take pics!

First look at the items. Fiance's box had the blue thing that held his Breath Crystals, so I was expecting it. I like these cute little boxes and they are good for holding gift cards you are giving away. :)

32 Oral Care: Effervescent Breath Crystals ($1.32) - These was a lifestyle extra, but I still think the value should be counted since these are probably one of my favorite items they carry. The men's box had four, which made me upset. Luckily I got the ones from Fiance's box anyways, so I have extra!

Nexxus Color Assure ($1.53) - I love Nexxus products, so I loved seeing that I was getting this. I can always find a use for hair care products, especially those for colored hair. These also actually had enough product for people with long/thick hair!

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream ($2.93) - I don't use shaving cream, and never have. I'm not sure how to compare this to other products due to this. Seriously...I will just use conditioner if I feel I need it, but I never do. It does smell amazing, though. I suppose that's always good! It seems a little pricey compared to drugstore brands, however.

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion ($2.53) - I'm over this brand already. It smells like something a hotel would put for you to grab, which is not a great thing. It does smell better than the last thing I received from this brand, though.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Coral Crush ($8) - I so wanted to like this...but I don't wear orange lip products. It says coral, but it is ORANGE. I have seen posts that the pink was also super pink. I love the brand, though, and will probably purchase the Honey Nectar shade.

All totaled, this box was worth $16.31 and I received 70 points for reviews, so it was definitely worth the $10 I paid for the subscription. This isn't one of their greatest boxes, but I have seen far worse. Once again, if you are interested in purchasing a subscription, I would love it if you used my referral! What all did everyone else get? I love to hear back from readers!
