The Howling Boutique's Supermoon Lacquer - Carnivore Animal Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

I am an admin for The Howling Boutique's Facebook Group and I also run the Instagram account. I also received this at a blogger discount and do receive PR from time to time from the brand. Find out more info here.

I reviewed this previously here and reswatched it semi-recently. Be nice if you look at my old swatches, I was still learning.

Carnivore Animal is a scattered holographic duochrome with green-to-orange color shifting shimmer and iridescent holographic microglitters in a dark red base.

Brush macro.

Bottle macro.

Glossy nail macro.

This is such a pretty basic dark red/almost purple polish. Under some lights, it looks like a basic neutral and this is one of those lighting situations.

I used two thin coats and this polish was fully opaque. It probably could have been opaque with one thicker coat with a different person applying (I prefer thinner coats). I found this to dry down easily, smoothly, and to a shiny finish.

Matte nail macro.

I definitely like this polish better with a glossy top coat.

Formula: Very good.
Coats for Opacity: Two thin coats.
Ease of Dry: Normal dry.
Texture: Slight texture noted.
Finish: Shine.
Removal: Normal removal, no issues noted.
Top Coat Used: Glossy/Matte.

As always, let me know what you thought of this polish in the comments!
