Sephora Luxe - Superfoods: Inner & Outer Beauty Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

These used to be called just Play bags that were extras that you could purchase on the Sephora site but now the new ones are actually called Play Smarts and there are quite a few available currently. I love these as they're usually higher end brands, more samples, or bigger samples. Yes, I realize I'm not only paying $10 for samples from Sephora that used to be free, but now I'm paying $15-$20 each bag/box for more samples. It's a problem, I'm dealing with it, but I actually like getting these extra bags because of the mix of different things included.

Interesting mix of products in this bag.

Info cards. I really like these little cards because if you like one particular item, you have all of the information you need about it!

The bag included was pretty cool!

HUM Glow Sweet Glow Skin Hyrdation ($2.50) - Because when I received this I was trying out a skincare routine, I passed this along to my mom. She loved the flavor but didn't notice a difference with such a small amount of product. I'm not sure what skincare benefits you get from hyaluronic acid being taken internally.

Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner ($2.72/$2.88) - I could definitely use some more volume in my hair, but this didn't give that to me. (My hair has been thinning in the past year or so and so my thoughts on volumizing products have changed.) This cleaned my hair but like with most shampoos/conditioners, the most you can expect is cleansing and maybe some moisture without the benefits of paired products.

Youth to the People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser ($0.90) - This is a good cleanser. I've received it a couple of times and always use it up when it comes. Because the sample is so small, I don't ever really see long-lasting benefits specific to this product, but I might buy this one if I ever ran out of cleansers.

Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme ($7.20) - I really like this and it was a go-to moisturizer for day for a solid month. I did use this up and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick (Eclair) ($6.00) - This is a pretty pink shade but definitely not my style. I passed it along.

Go-To Skincare Very Useful Face Cream ($6.20) -  Another good face cream. This was nothing to write home about but it was good enough that I enjoyed using it.

Swatch of Bite Beauty

This bag was valued at $28.40, not very good compared to the $20 I paid for it. I was a little disappointed in the size of these items and would have appreciated a little more like regular Sephora bags and a little less Birchbox.

As always, let me know what you thought about this bag in the comments!
