Boxycharm - December 2018 Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

This post includes referral links to Boxycharm. If you use my link to sign up, I will get charms in my Boxycharm account. Find out more information here.

What is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box that sends 4-5 full-size beauty products with boxes being valued at $100+. Each month has a theme but it's not followed exactly as much as the spirit of the theme. Shipping has gotten a lot better since my last Boxycharm post, I get my box almost always in the first half of the month (there is a distribution center less than an hour from my house).

How Much is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is $21/month shipped. Currently, Boxycharm is offered to the US, its territories, and Canada.

This was a pretty packed box.

Info card.

Suva Beauty Protege Palette ($34.00) - This is a stunning palette, but so much like other palettes that I have that there’s no way I could logically keep it. If you pick this up somewhere, just know that the shadows are super creamy and pigmented and the highlights are so stunning. I just couldn’t keep this when I have so many similar shadows.

Pretty Vulgar The Powder Room Translucent Setting Powder ($32.00) - This is a pretty good powder if you’re looking for a bit of added coverage on top of your foundation. I like this to put over a primer/moisturizer/concealer combo to add some evening without wearing a full face.

Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask ($54.00) - I didn’t really like this. It dried me out so much and just left my skin feeling unfortunate.

Tarte Tarteist Shimmering Lip Paint ($20.00) - This is so glittery that I knew instantly that I wouldn’t like this.

Not pictured: Bodyography Lip Pencil (Barely There) ($12.00) - This was a good neutral lip liner so I kept it, even though I often forget lip liner (and eye liner). It's creamy and comfortable and adds a good amount of pigment as well as helps keep lipstick in the line, the main goal.

Swatch of Suva Beauty.

This box was valued at $152.00, well over the cost and guaranteed value. Overall, this was an okay box. I liked the okay but it wasn’t anything spectacular. I liked the palette but I have so many similar shadows that I even gave that away, so all that I kept was the setting powder.
