Sephora Luxe - Skincare by Age: 40's Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

These used to be called just Play bags that were extras that you could purchase on the Sephora site but now the new ones are actually called Play Smarts and there are quite a few available currently. I love these as they're usually higher end brands, more samples, or bigger samples. Yes, I realize I'm not only paying $10 for samples from Sephora that used to be free, but now I'm paying $15-$20 each bag/box for more samples. It's a problem, I'm dealing with it, but I actually like getting these extra bags because more/different things.

This bag was marketed for those in their 40's, which I am not, but I wanted to share the various options that Sephora has for skincare and to promote that they have realized that they have customers over 30!

At first, I thought I liked these bags. I was wrong. I've since given all of them away.

I liked that they did classes teaching you how to use the products in the bag.

Info cards.

Tatcha The Water Cream ($8.90) - For being such a holy grail product, I really thought it would just be meh to me. Instead, I really like this. It moisturizes, which I've been needing a lot of lately, and it doesn't really have a fragrance to irritate my asthma. Win!

Kiehl's Glow Formula Skin Hyrator ($5.00) - I don't know about 24-hour moisturizing, but it's still a good moisturizer!

Sunday Riley Good Genes ($23.00) - I actually really like this. I expected not to, again because of holy grail products letting me down. I use this every week or so because my skin can get sensitive when it likes and using a ton of products does worry me a bit.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil ($18.33) - I sometimes use this under my moisturizer at night, see above for reasonings.

Caudalie Premier Cru Anti-Aging Eye Cream ($39.67) - This is a pretty good under eye cream for moisturizing and keeping my under eye a bit less...dead. Nothing will ever get rid of my dark circles or the slightly 'died three weeks ago but hasn't started decomposing' look I have going on. It's my aesthetic.

Volition Detoxifying Silt Gelee Mask ($19.75) - I don't think I've worked my way through this yet. I have/receive so many masks that I'll probably never go through them unless I started doing one a day. Good mas.

This bag was valued at $114.65. I really did like this bag and it did introduce me to some products that I probably wouldn't buy right now but if I ever hit it big, would definitely do so.

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
