Welcome to the first month of Glam Bag Plus. Since creation, Ipsy now has Glam Bag Ultimate, an even more expensive box that I definitely will not be buying because I have seen what comes in it. Yikes.

First month in. Big products coming in an Ipsy is actually a little strange.

It still includes a bag (sometimes), but bigger bags.

Tarte Maneater Voluptuous Mascara ($23.00) - I was hoping because this is supposed to be volumizing that it wouldn't be too lengthening, but it definitely does lengthen as well. As such, I gave it to my mom who fell in love with it.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (Carbon Black) ($22.00) - I've received this far too many times for comfort, to the point where I wonder if anyone actually buys this anymore or if they wait for it to show up in a subscription. I gave this away without thought.

Ciate London Dewy Spritz ($25.00) - This is legit spraying glitter on your face. No.

Purlisse Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask & Exfoliant ($48.00) - I really like this as a mask, as long as I gently remove it so I don't get too much of the exfoliant-ness that it offers. My skin feels smooth without ended up too tight or scratched up, I just have to use a good moisturizer afterwards.

Smashbox Cosmetics Cover Shot Eye Palette (Bold Glitter) ($29.00) - If this had been the regular bold palette, or basically any of the other Cover Shot Eye Palettes, I would have been thrilled. These shadows aren't anywhere as smooth as what they look like on the website and generally just suck. They're glitter pieces in a matching base, they scratched my arm up, and a few stained my arm. I was so unhappy with this, almost to the point of cancelling the entire subscription.

Morphe High Impact Highlighter (Extra) ($14.00) - This is described as a lustrous peachy gold, which is definitely how I would describe it. I really like this highlight and while it's a little too dark for my typical liking, I was able to wear this using a fan brush and a light hand, usually over a super white highlight to add some more highlight and a little bit of tone.

This box was valued at $161, well over the cost or the guaranteed value. Overall, it was a major bust when it came to the debut box. I would have expected something a bit more wearable in the general sense of the term rather than all over the place with glitter spray and a glitter palette. I'm glad I didn't cancel, but it was mostly because I forgot with a hint of FOMO.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
