Barkbox - August 2018 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

Links below are referral links. This means if you click my link and make a purchase of Barkbox, I will get a free box in return. Find out more info here.

What is BarkBox?: BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for your favorite pupper. Each box includes five items, two toys, two bags of treats, and a chew. You tell them the size of your pupper and how you want to pay, and then you decide if you want to spend an extra $9/box for an extra toy! It's divided into three sizes, so Trumpet fits nicely in the middle category as 'Just Right' whereas Murphy firmly fits in 'large.'

How Much is BarkBox?: If you want no commitments, cancel anytime, the box is $29/month. A three-month commitment brings it down to $25/month. Six months is $23/month (billed up-front as $138) and a one-year commitment is $20/month but you get to pay monthly! You get free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada, but there is sales tax applied to certain states.

Look at this cute baby, he so badly wanted the treat in my hand that was keeping him still and looking in my general direction.

Okay, all I can see in this picture is the slug that has something coming out of its mouth. Weird.

Doug the Ugly Slug ($12.00) - Speak of the devil. This isn't quite a burrow toy but you can put the fly in the slug's mouth for your pupper to pull out. There's also a ton of hair/fuzz that Murphy LOVED to rip off. Yay for mess.

Bruno Branches Out ($12.00) - This was the perfect toy for Murphy. He is such a fan of any and every rope toy so he always chooses them over any other toy. It's also adorable and a bit bigger than the 'Just Right' toys, which is even better for Murphy!

Bark of the Wild (Trout and Vegetable Blend) ($5.00) - For being a fishy treat, these weren't super fishy smelling. We've had bad smelling treats but this passed my sniff test. These were soft which meant Trumpet loved them just as much as Murphy did!

Bark of the Wild (Pork and Vegetable Blend) ($5.00) - Another hit in this house. I love it when we get chewy treats, that's what we need most in this house!

Etta Says Elk Chew ($3.00) - Unfortunately, we had to pass this along. These are super hard and while Murphy would tear into this, Trumpet won't. Like always, these are also the greasy chews that I don't like because of the dogs eating their treats on our furniture and it leaves a greasy mess.

This box was valued at $37.00, the typical value of these boxes. I still love our selection of a mix of toys and treats each month and really love that I get a bigger box every other month so we have some bigger toys for Murphy.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
