Play! Smarts by Sephora - Luxe Bag #4 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

It's time for another Play! Smarts/Play! Luxe bag. It's confusing, they're the same thing. This is very much a 'luxe' bag but I only paid $20 for this whole thing! In case you don't know, Play! Smarts/Play! Luxe bags are one-offs that Sephora randomly releases. Sometimes you'll get an app notification but usually, I found these by just going to the website/app and searching. I wish they set up a special landing page like Target does for these so I wouldn't have to try so hard to get a bag! You do get to see what's coming in the box before you buy (it may be completely specific or say there will be X brand in it).

Now to the bag!

Look at all of those luxury brands.

The bag is a really cool design. It doesn't have a clasp or anything to close but the strap wraps around a couple of times and then hooks under itself. I wouldn't trust it to keep my makeup contained in my purse (I throw that poor thing around a lot) but I would use it as a travel bag on a road trip.

Info cards.

Guerlain L'Or Radiance Primer ($12.33) - Ooh, we so boujie. This does have 24k gold in it, which is ridiculous. While this is a really radiant primer, it does nothing for my pores/texture. I wasn't sure if I wanted to like it or not but I learned the hard way that this wasn't for me.

SK-II R.N.A. POWER Face Cream ($7.19) - I definitely didn't want to like this, solely based on the price of this full-size item. I don't see that it's worth $230 but I didn't have enough of the product in this tiny container to give it a true go at it. I did use it and my skin was a bit more moisturized and did seem a bit more radiant, but not much more than a much cheaper face cream.

Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain (1 Rouge Tatouage) ($7.40) - Hello, traditional red lipstick. I lost my swatch pic but it's a true red-leaning pink, not me at all. There are a few shades I would have loved to receive but I'm not one for red lips.

La Mer The Eye Concentrate ($43.00) - Another super high priced product that I didn't want to like. And again, it's not a bad product at all but I didn't have enough product to actually be able to see a long-lasting result. Receiving this did mean I didn't have to buy an eye cream for a bit, though!

Giorgio Armani Beauty Eyes to Kill Mascara ($6.40) - I wasn't really a huge fan of this mascara. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not the best mascara I've ever used.

Atelier Cologne (Iris Rebelle Cologne Absolue) ($11.33) - This is a floral perfume that I really came to like. I think it's because it's floral but still a little fruity and musky. If I hadn't already found my go-to perfume, this might have become it.

The value of this bag was $87.65, well over the cost. I was thrilled to try out these luxury brands and if nothing else, it taught me that a product isn't amazing just because it's priced high. My purpose of getting this bag was just that and I accomplished my purpose.

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
