Boxycharm - December 2017 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

What is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box that sends 4-5 full-size beauty products with boxes being valued at $100+. Each month has a theme but it's not followed exactly as much as the spirit of the theme. Shipping has gotten a lot better since my last Boxycharm post, I get my box almost always in the first half of the month (there is a distribution center less than an hour from my house).

How Much is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is $21/month shipped. Currently, Boxycharm is offered to the US, its territories, and Canada.

If you sign up for Boxycharm Luxe, four times a year you will get a different box that costs an additional $28.99 on top of the $21. You will not get a 'regular' Boxycharm that month and there's currently no way to get both the regular and the Luxe during the Luxe months without having two subscriptions at once. Until you can get both without dealing with two subscriptions, I will stay with the 'regular' one.

Another month, another Boxycharm. After the fiasco last time I tried Boxycharm, I am always wary of how it's going to turn out. It's definitely going better than the last time but I always worry that instead of wasting $10/month, I'm wasting $20.

Info card.

tarte tarteist Lash Paint Mascara ($23.00) - This is a lengthening mascara (which it DEFINITELY does) so I don't have a use for it. I've tried it from a sample and it's a really good mascara, but I can't do a lot of lengthening becasue of my glasses. I gave this to my mom who wants her lashes to touch her brow bone. Pass.

Beauté Basics Bronze Essentials ($39.95) - I really like the shades in this but they're all too dark for bronzing/contouring on my skin. The lightest shade is still super dark and would only work in the Summer and I hate keeping palettes that I can't use the majority of the products. I also struggle with how close these shades are to one another and how a brush would actually work with those thinner bands. I cannot find this item for sale anywhere nor can I find the brand sold so it might be private label, I'm not sure. Pass.

Swatch of Beauté Basics L-R: mixed, deepest, shimmer, lightest.

Real Her Be Fearless Be Limitless Blush Kit ($32.00) - For being a baked blush, there was a ton of color payoff with all three of these. I really liked the lightest shade (Fearless) but it was shimmery and I don't usually do shimmery blushes due to the texture on my cheeks. The shades are all gorgeous but I couldn't see myself using this enough to keep. Pass.

Swatches of Real Her L-R: Unstoppable, Limitless, Fearless.

Crown Brush Deluxe (Pro) Blush Brush ($12.00) - This is a REALLY good brush. I use it to bronze/contour a bit rather than use it for blush and it's perfect. Because I use the same bronzer/contour almost every day, I use this more than I should in between washes because I like it so much. Keep.

Pretty Vulgar My Lips are Sealed Lightweight Liquid Lipstick (Particularly Sophisticated) ($24.00) - I don't do metallic lipsticks. It's not my style, I don't like how they look, my lips look super liney and old, I just don't like it. Pass.

Swatch of Pretty Vulgar.

This box was valued at $130.95 but I only kept one item. Had I not completely forgotten, I would have canceled after receiving this box.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
