Seventy-Seven Lacquer - My Dad, My Hero Review | Father's Day Limited Edition

Hey, y'all. I'm finally back! I'll explain later what all was going on because I want to focus just on this polish for this post. This polish was designed by the kiddos of Ms. 77 Lacquer and the sales of this polish goes towards buying their dad his Father's Day Gift (ADORABLE). When she was looking for swatchers, I jumped at the opportunity because I love the idea and the polish is amazeballs.

Infos: This is a preorder that is currently open and will remain open until June 30th, with shipping starting two weeks after close. The polish is $12 and the direct link is here

My Dad, My Hero is a blackened purple/wine base with a strong red/purple flash/shimmer and green/cyan/blue/purple shifting UCC flakies.

Oh lort, isn't this just amazing. This is a polish from my dreams and I love that the kiddos created it. I always want a flakie polish so when one appears, I do a bit of a happy dance.

The application was super easy. I did three coats but it was thin coats but it definitely could have been two coats. I was at first thinking this would almost jelly with the flakies so I wanted multiple coats to show that. There was the slightest texture with the flakies but that might also be alleviated if you only do two coats.

Matte nail macro.

Of course, the matte top coat makes the flakies super pop. It does make some of the special in the purple base to disappear, sadly, but I always love it when flakies pop (#flakieaddictlife).

Formula: Good, not too thick or thin.
Coats for Opacity: Three thin coats, could be two normal/thicker coats.
Ease of Dry: Normal dry.
Texture: Slight texture noted.
Finish: Shine.
Removal: Normal removal, no issues noted.
Top Coat Used: Glossy/Matte.

As always, let me know what you thought of this polish in the comments!
