Marvel Collector Corps - 1st Appearance Avengers Review (August 2017) | Blog My Backlog

Marvel Collector Corps has been canceled and has a new mysterious signup has popped on their website with something to do with Amazon. I'm not sure what's going on but you know I signed up!

What is Marvel Collector Corps?: Marvel Collector Corps is a bimonthly subscription box that is curated and sent out by Marvel itself. Each box will have a theme that coincides with a release that's upcoming. I stopped our Founder's Program (yearly) to only buy boxes that sound really good to one or both of us.

How Much is Marvel Collector Corps?: Marvel Collector Corps is $25/month (plus $6.95 shipping) or $150/year (plus $41.70 shipping). If you do the year-long subscription, you get a bonus gift at the end of your subscription each year.

I was super interested when I saw that this box was called 'First Appearance Avengers.' I wasn't sure what they meant by this but I wasn't going to miss out on the Pop that was included.

Info card. I like how they started showing the process of building out the box.

Captain America Patch ($5.00) - This is actually really cool, very old-school and reminiscent of the comic. I still have no clue what husband does with these patches...I just choose not to ask.

Nick Fury Pin ($5.00) - I'm so used to Nick Fury being Samuel L Jackson, I had to think twice to remember that this is Nick Fury in the comics. As with the patches, I don't ask what happens to these after I finish the boxes in my office.

Vision POP! ($25.00) - I don't know if I've mentioned, but we have built shelves specifically for our Marvel and Dragon Ball Z Pops, so this is obviously meant to go there. Vision was such an awesome addition to The Avengers so I was pleased to see that he was featured in this box!

Iron Man Tales of Suspense POP! ($25.00) - Husband is a huge Iron Man fan, he's his favorite and this was an instant hit. They even released a subscriber exclusive of this Pop but in gold, so of course, I bought that as well and he has two of these!

Hulk T-Shirt ($15.00) - Lately, their large shirts (the size we had selected) were really big so this was passed along to a friend. I love the design but I'm not a fan of their shirt sizing not being consistent.

This box was valued at an estimated $75. I say estimated because Pop values specifically can fluctuate daily, but that's about where I'd expect them to sell. We did enjoy the majority of the box and I really love when boxes feature two Pops!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
