Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - When the Nights Grow Cold Review | Swatch My Stash
Happy Saturday! We're actually going to see Deadpool tonight so I'm excited. Yes, we rewatched the first one yesterday just because. He's my favorite anti-hero so I'm excited! Today I have another gorgeous polish from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. Her store is actually about to reopen and there's going to be a discount code for her past releases, so make sure you're in the fan group!
When the Nights Grow Cold is a pale mint green with clear holo microglitters and indigo/purple/red shifting shimmers.
Brush macro.
Bottle macro.
Glossy nail macro.
This is over a white base and it is still a little patchy, so I would do two coats in the future. I do love the slight shimmer but I wish there were more (don't we all?!). It definitely shows more in indirect light but I did have to move my hand around a bit to get some to show.
Look at the shimmery flecks! It's so pretty. I am confused because my bottle was much bluer than I expected from a mint green...not that I'm mad at all.
Matte nail macro.
With a matte top coat, the shimmer becomes more of a slight glow. It definitely needs to be glossy to enjoy all of it.
Formula: Good, a little thin pigment wise, a little patchy.
Coats for Opacity: One coat over a white undie.
Ease of Dry: Quick dry.
Texture: None noted.
As always, let me know what you thought of this polish in the comments!
