What is Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabinet?: Vanishing Cabinet is a monthly subscription box by Notoriously Morbid where each month you get a bag of indie makeup. Bags include four to five themed items (a combination of minis and possibly full-sizes). Products can include eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, and/or solid perfume. The April bag was designed to be a cohesive look, with four shades (designated) that work very well together.

The April bag was based on Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

Each Buries His Own (Crease Shade) is a deep matte mauve. 

Oh my, this is the perfect shadow to deepen your crease. It's also amazing to deepen your outer corner.

Sometimes Dead is Better (transition shade) is a cool-toned matte grey.

This is the perfect light grey, necessary for all collections! I love using a grey as my transition shade, as it blends so nicely into so many different other eyeshadows. I apply this all over my eyelid, even above the crease, using a dense shader brush.

Wanna Play With You (Inner Corner Highlight) is a gorgeous light taupe base with pink and gold reflects.
This needs to be a full-size highlighter because I want this all over my face! It is a gorgeous highlighter for your inner corner (and I like putting a dash of it under my brow bone). I use either a small dome brush or my finger, both tapped very lightly in the container, and dab it carefully where I want it.

Soil of a Man's Heart (Lid) a pinky coral with a light pink sheen and microglitters in gold and pink.

This eyeshadow applied very well, both with a finger and with a flat brush. I find this best used over a sticky base for the full pigment or wetting your brush for a less powerful pop of color.

Overall, I loved this bag! I love the idea of a cohesive bag, because all you really needed was some mascara and a blush and you'd be ready to walk out the door! The only thing that could have made this better was if it had come with some better direction (either in the bag or in the Facebook group) for those newer to makeup.

Another look that could be created with just these eyeshadows is a halo eye. Put Sometimes Dead is Better all over your eye and up above your crease. Apply Each Buries His Own in your outer and inner third (lighter in the inner corner, deeper in the outer corner). Use Wanna Play With you on a dampened wet brush and place the shadow in the center third (I do this over either concealer or a sticky base). Blend lines with a bit of Each Buries His Own on a blending brush. Use a smudging brush to apply Soil of a Man's Heart on the inner and middle of your lower lash line and then blend into Each Buries His Own into the outer lash line and into your upper lid. TaDa!
