Fortune Cookie Soap of the Month - January 2017 (Face Box) + Coupon Code!

What is Fortune Cookie Soap's FCS of the Month Box?: Fortune Cookie Soap of the Month is Fortune Cookie Soap's monthly box to get your monthly fix of FCS products. It launched at the beginning of the year and spoiler, I have stayed subscribed the entire time. Each month's box has a different theme (hair, body, face, feet, etc.) and will have a mix of past, present, and new scents/products along with at least one brand new product. You can skip any months you want to so it's the perfect subscription if you want specific items or only want a few boxes a year.

How Much is Fortune Cookie Soap's FCS of the Month Box?: FCS of the Month is $28.00 plus shipping ($6.95 for the US). Use code 'Firstfcsbox' to save $6.95 off of your first box.

So this was the first FCS of the Month Box. I wasn't sure what to expect because I do my best to avoid spoilers in the Facebook Group

Each month comes with a Handbook explaining the month's items. It explains what each items does, how it works, how to use it, a pro tip, and the ingredients - my kind of 'info card!'

Lip Scrub (Coconut + Peppermint) ($9.49) - The perfect way to get your lips ready for a matte lip color, a lip scrub (especially one like this made with sugar) is the easiest way to pull dead and flaking skin from your lips without drying them! Bonus, because of the ingredients FCS uses, you can just lick this off rather than than using your a cloth.

Herbal Blemish Stick ($9.99) - I was convinced this was a gimmick product that wouldn't actually work...until I used it. I have never had a true acne breakout where my entire face is covered, instead I get one or two bad zits somewhere that just never want to leave. I had one pop up on my chin and I knew I didn't have anywhere to go in the next few days that I would mind if my face were melting off due to a reaction so I figured I'd try it. I was shocked that by the next morning the zit was just gone. I'm not sure what is in this, but I am sure it's a magic product.

Facial Cleansing Oil (Fruits+Flowers) ($16.99) - Recently (meaning this year) I have found that I love using oils to clean my skin. I use basic ones to remove makeup swatches and ones like this to give my skin a nice, hydrated feeling after a long day of whatever Georgia weather has thrown at my face. It removes makeup easily and makes my skin just feel good, all while washing away without leaving a fried chicken feel on my face.

Toner (Fruits + Flowers) ($10.95) - I admit, all throughout my teen years I was convinced toners were for 'old women' and that I would never use one until I had to. Boy, I was wrong. This toner is perfect to use after the cleansing oil to moisturize your face. It apparently also can be used as a setting spray but because I already have my own favorite, this is staying with my night routine products!

Facial Scrub (Fruits + Flowers) ($14.99) - This is the perfect way to get rid of dead skin to reveal the smoother layer of skin beneath. Usually I am one to shy away from facial scrubs just due to how they usually dry me out rather than helping. Because I am one for testing, I did use this and found that I didn't experience the tightness after use that I normally do. I'm not sure if my skin is changing or if it's because of the excess of oils FCS puts in their scrubs but either way, I'm a happy camper! Plus side? Your skin will smell amazing even after using it.

Night Cream (Fruits + Flowers) ($15.45) - The perfect pairing to the Facial Scrub? A Night Cream! A good night moisturizer is the easiest way to keep your skin hydrated and balanced as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I give my face a generous coating of whatever my current night cream is as well as put it on my neck (and rub the excess into my hands) and then allow it to work its magic while I'm sleeping.

This box was valued at an astounding $77.86, well over double the cost of the box. I expected some amazing products to come from this box but never did I expect so many in one box - and so many that I would fawn over and need more of! This box made a true believer and a forever subscriber out of me!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
