I was looking forward to the February box, February is my birthday month and I am always interested to see what brands do for Valentine's Day! I already had a spoiler prior to opening this box, but I didn't expect all of this!
But first, this box included a Valentine from Pretty & Polished! :)
Aphrodisiac is a great addition to the Dusty Cremes that were released this past fall. I reviewed a couple of those a few weeks ago. The Dusty Cremes polishes are some of my favorite from 2015, and I love that they will dry to a great satin finish and that the formula continues to be great. On top of being a great dusty polish, it's thermal! It applied so smoothly and I love it with the satin finish as well as with a top coat!
The below swatches show the thermal change. Swatch is three thin coats of Aphrodisiac and one coat of glossy top coat.
In it's cold state, Aphrodisiac is a creamy brown/very light plum with so much goodness.
While warm, Aphrodisiac is an amazing shade of baby pink. I don't have tons of baby pink polishes around, so it's nice to have this one in thermal form.
This is a much more stark transition than what's below, but this does show the color difference!
If you thought you could get out of this box without a true pink glitter topper, you were wrong! Pink Peelings is the perfect topper for whenever you need a splash of pink in your life! There are small light pink and true pink glitters as well as bigger true pink, lighter pink, and impossibly light pink glitters! Basically, it's the perfect pink topper!
Below is a different kind of swatch. I used Pink Peelings in a manicure with Aphrodisiac rather than on all of my nails.
One single coat of this topper did all of this, which is awesome. A bit of dabbing and it could easily be full coverage.
This is the full manicure, but with a smoother transition in the thermal.
Extras, a cute kiss water decal, a heart charm, and Mani Melts! Mani Melts are the way to my heart, and these are perfect!
My final thoughts for February's Beauty Box, it's a gorgeous color combination together or could easily be worn separately. I definitely feel like the value is there and luckily, this box is still available for just a few more days! Make sure to grab your box quick and make sure to check back what came in past boxes!
