All Things Essential - December 2015

What is the All Things Essential Subscription?: The All Things Essential is the first subscription box based around essential oils. This is a brand new box, so I was obviously excited to be able to try it out. Each box will include three essential oils or blends (curated to set the intention for the month) and one to five items to enhance the experience of the oils.

How Much is the All Things Essential Subscription?: This box is $35 per month with free shipping. It currently only ships to the United States.

First look. It's been a while since I did one of these, but I love the way this looked in the box and how well it was packaged. Plus, Christmas colored paper makes me giggle. :)

Lavender 40/42 ($2.65) - As the name suggests, this is made with Lavender. I'm not sure what the 40/42 means, but I'm guessing it's just a derivative or blend of lavenders. It's a very strong, very powerful oil. I probably would not use this on me, but it would be great for use in the home.

Winter Essence ($3.15) - Winter Essence is made with Balsam, Cedarwood, Scotch, and Birch. In the words of my husband, it smells like mint and tree bark. It reminds me of walking though the woods after a good snow, which I love. It calms me and brings me back to a few winters ago when it snowed and everything was peaceful.

Tis the Season ($2.65) - Tis the Season is made with Nutmeg, Cinnamon Bark, Sweet Orange, and Spruce. I love this so much, there's no way to put it into words. It smells better than any candle, room spray, or electronic scent booster that I've ever had that's labeled as Christmas. It's just like when someone is baking cookies in the kitchen! I want a bigger vial of it to have all year long!

Pooki's Mahi K-Cups (10% Kona Coffee) ($3.58) - I'm a huge fan of Coffee, I actually speak a lot about it on my personal Twitter. Hazelnut is one of my favorite flavors and I love that it comes in a K-Cup! The brand itself has so many flavors of coffee, and I need to try them all! This particular coffee is great and it is so aromatic, I want to keep a cup around just to make my office smell great!

Gretchen's Apothecary Room Spray (Buttery Gingersnap) ($12.00) - As if we couldn't get any more winter-y, now we have a spray that smells just like gingersnaps! I love the way a house smells while baking, and this is a great way to have that without the effort of baking! :D It's not too heavy, not too light, and it sticks around for much longer than one would expect.

Sister Power Diffuser Necklace (Li’ili’ka Pua) ($8.50) - When I first opened the box, I was a little curious about why we received a summer necklace in a winter box. My question was easily answered - you add essential oils to it and you're able to carry around the scent all day! It's an adorable necklace, and the company makes even fancier ones if this one isn't fancy enough! It's perfect for me, though, the style is wonderful and the colors are great!

This box was valued at $32.53, which comes in just under the cost of this box. Part of what you pay for is the curation, though, and that was wonderfully done. Essential Oils were completely new to me before this, but this was a great introduction. I would like to see what's in future boxes to see if the value continues to be there and what ideas they come up with next!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
