Boxycharm vs. Ipsy vs. Birchbox - March 2015

After so many people were interested in last month's comparison of Boxycharm, Ipsy, and Birchbox, I decided I would do the comparison again! Check out past BoxycharmBirchbox, and Ipsy as well!

March's Boxycharm was valued at $112.00 and contained Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic, LVX Nail Lacquer in Mynt, OFRA Eyeliner in Black, tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Charmed, and Oscar Blandi Hairspray. Boxycharm's points system has updated to new items you can get, but everything still shows as out of stock when I try to add something.

I loved the nail polish (shocker) and the tarte, so those two alone made the box worth more than I had paid (it also introduced me to a new nail polish brand). I am still upset about the Previse because it is part of a multi-step system, but they only sent out part. OFRA eyeliners are nice, but black eyeliner is just black eyeliner. I like the hairspray, but it's nothing special. I did need some, though.

March's Birchbox was valued at $24.06 and included Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes, Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge in Paris, Beauty Protector Protect & Oil, Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, and Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35+. Birchbox's point system is nice and I was able to get $5 to spend in their store by reviewing my items.

While I really love Yes to products, the rest of the box was kinda meh. The oil would be much nicer if it came with a wand or pump, but instead you just dump it into your hand. The lip gloss is a nice product but a horrendous color. The other two are just kinda bland and over-sent brands.

March's Ipsy was valued at $44.45 and included pur-lisse Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser and Make-Up Remover, dr.brandt Anti-Aging Mattifying Lotion, NYX Butter Lipstick in Hunk, Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Highlighter in Crystal Pink, and Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer. Ipsy's point system isn't perfect, because the points expire, but they do have nice products you can get with points.

I definitely was surprised by this bag, again. The lip stick is far too dark for me, but NYX does have amazing products. I was also able to find a use for everything in this bag other than that, though, and the highlighter and concealer are the bomb.

Even with Boxycharm sending out some less than perfect items, the nail polish and lip color made Boxycharm the win for the month. Those two are the most amazing shades and I was just so happy with them. If you got any of these three boxes, let me know what you thought about them in the comments!
