Birchbox - January 2015
Birchbox is the original subscription box, and it's still going strong. Even when the box isn't the greatest, the subscription is usually worth it because of the points system. For those that don't know, Birchbox sends anywhere from 4 to 8 products a month (full size, deluxe sample size, and sample size) and you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or getting referrals. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. Now on to the box!
I have to say, getting married but having companies not change your last name confuses your new apartment complex. But when a company gives you a title AND doesn't ship to your new last name, they completely lose it! The poor lady was really confused and I had to give her an explanation, which she found hilarious. At least now they know I will be titled, which I love this one!
Super cute pink shipping box!
We're supposed to keep the boxes from this year for something special at the end of the year, so I'm going to actively work towards keeping them...if I remember.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner (Jaipur Gold) ($4.40) - This is a super creamy liner, which I love. It says gold, which it has hints of gold, but it applied as a nice olive. Sumita liners are great at staying power, and this one was no different.
Aquareveal Satin Bright Soft Water Peel for Face ($7.35) - I haven't been the biggest fan of peels lately, because they have been drying me out. I'll be saving this for when the air is a little less dry and try it out then!
Whish Three Whishes Body Butter (Lavender) ($3.52) - The acai scent is amazing, and I would probably love a few other of the scents, but this smells like my grandmother would wear it. I am not a huge fan of lavender by its self, so this will go in the trade pile.
Beauty Protector Protect & Oil ($3.24) - Total guess on the cost, because there wasn't a size on this. It's also super difficult to use because it doesn't come with a pump like the full-size product does...which would have been very helpful! Instead, it's a bit of a mess to try to use.
Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35+ ($2.04) - I'm so over Supergoop products, but I am so glad that they sent the right shade of this! It's a very small tube, though, so there are very few uses in this. I normally use BB creams, so I'm excited to try out a CC.
This box has a smaller value of $20.55, but that and the $5 in points makes it well worth the $10 cost. I also have a year subscription so I pay a little less than $10/month now! Did you get Birchbox this month? Let me know what you thought about it in the comments!
