ipsyMe Event - Pixi Set
ipsyMe is a weekly event that posts every Tuesday at 9am Pacific Time/12noon Eastern Time. They do sets like this varying from skin care to makeup to hair products and tools. They are deeply discounted and usually sets of items from a brand, which is great for all of us! It gives you an opportunity to try out new brands or buy some of your favorite stuff for a great deal!
This set was from a couple of weeks ago, but I'm just getting to posting about it. When I order from ipsyMe, and I order when it goes live on Tuesdays, it is almost always here by that Saturday! You do have to be there when it goes live, most times, because they almost always sell out. A few other deals I have gotten have been a Pacifica lotion/lip product/perfume set as well as a purMinerals primer/foundation/brush set. This has been my favorite so far, just because I have received Pixi by Petra products in some subscription boxes, but I'm always afraid to invest in their stuff full price (it can be very pricey)!
This is the ad for when it was first posted. As you can see, they include great stuff and do a great job of showing you what you will be getting before you order!
Succulent Lip Twin (Vanilla Light) ($18.00) - This product line comes in a variety of colors and is called a 'twin' because it can be used as a lip color or a cheek tint. Of course, coming in clear, I will be using this as a clear gloss over other colors. I would be interested in trying some of the different shades, just to see how they perform as a cheek tint.
Beauty Blush (Perkiest Pink) ($16.00) - I love how naturally pink this is. It's not too dark, so it works for those of the ridiculously pale variety, but isn't so light that those darker could use it as well! It lasts all day and is wonderfully pigmented, so what more could you want from a blush? I definitely want to try out the peach just because of how well peach shades seem to work for me.
Flawless & Poreless ($10.89) - Full size is pricier, but still much cheaper than other primers around. This works well but a little goes a very long way. It did a decent job of reducing my visible pores and keeping my makeup on, still much longer and better looking than without any primer.
Fairy Light Solo (Bronze Beam) ($15.00) - At this point, it's difficult to get overly excited about a brown eyeshadow, but this does excite me. It has just enough shimmer to glow but isn't overly obvious about it. It will catch the light just enough to shimmer, which thrills me. I am definitely interested in other shades of this product if and when it is available to purchase again.
Endless Silky Eye Pen (OysterGlow) ($12.00) - I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with a nude, shimmery eye liner, but it's a gorgeous color. It's very silky, as the name suggests, but is definitely a pencil - not a pen. I would have preferred to get a green or purple, but I can always find a use for eye liners!
Overall, this set was worth $71.89, so definitely worth what I paid for it. This was a great way to try out some more Pixi products before I go drop a ton of money on them full price. Luckily, some products are available through Birchbox and so that means points can be used on them! Did anyone else get this ipsyMe event? And loves, hates, etc? Let me know in the comments!
