Boxycharm - September 2014

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription that costs $21/month. They have monthly themes and send items based on those themes. I've seen boxes average 4-5 items, but some have more items. All of the boxes in a month are usually the same (shades may vary), which is good for spoilers. You also have the entire month to sign up and still be eligible to get that month's box. Shipping does take some time, though. They post that they have 5-10 business days to send you box out.

They have a referral program also that earns you charms. Other ways to earn charms includes reviewing items you receive each month as well as bonus charms for taking a box three months in a row. The charms can be redeemed towards month-specific items which will be sent in your next month's box! This box came fairly quickly, took less than a week from ship date to arrival (shipping email took a few days to come, though).

This month's theme is Fashion Week Fabulous, like many boxes have this month, due to Fashion Week. This box is filled with runway beauty products to get you ready for your own fashion week.

It's such a cute present!!

First look.

NCLA Nail Lacquer (Call My Agent) ($16.00) - Out of the three colors available, I definitely didn't want a red. I love polish, but it seems like I've been getting more red than any other color, which makes me sad. I still can figure out a way to use it, though! Polish is polish to me. :)

Hello by Harvey Prince ($29.00) - I was so looking forward to this. I've been getting samples of Hello for a few months now, and it's become my staple perfume. Sadly, I knew as soon as I opened the box that I had a serious problem. The cap wasn't on good and it leaked EVERYWHERE. I'm not convinced that there isn't a crack in it somewhere also, because it's still a very strong smell days after getting my box. I love the smell, but there's way too much of it in my room. I've contacted Boxycharm about it but still haven't heard back. I'll keep this updated with what happens, though.
At least it does smell great, with notes of Meyer Lemon, White Grapefruit, and Satsuma Mandarin. It's a great fruity smell without being too overpowering. While it's fruity and summery, it will definitely be my signature scent throughout fall and winter!

tarte LipSurgence lip gloss (Blushing Bride) ($19.00) - I love, love, love Tarte, which is obvious by my Instagram page. ;) I had ordered another shade of this during one of their sales, but this is a great darker semi-nude pink. It's a great shade and I love these lip glosses. Everyone should own at least one, that's a definite! There's not too much stickiness but plenty of shine.

TARNIA TARANTINO Fleur de Lash Mascara LE ($19.00) - This is the item that we received if we had been subscribers for the Bride Beauty Box when they gave out Tarina Tarantino's Hyperlight. The Hyperlight will be received by those that haven't already received it. I am glad they thought of older subscribers and remembered to not resend an item, no matter how great it is. This is also in a Limited Edition gunmetal tube, according to the information card. The packaging on the website is completely different, so I'm not sure if the LE is for Boxycharm only or if there is another place to pick it up. If someone knows, let me know in the comments! I'm curious about it!
This is a great mascara that adds volume and length! It's great and I love that it's such a full size, so it will be added into my mascara cup!

Coastal Scents Go Palette (Cairo) ($12.95) - I love that they included the Go Palette, and that they had four different variations of the shades. After getting it, I'm in love with it and I've already added the six-pack of them to my wishlist to know when they come back in stock (it includes the four that Boxycharm sent out along with two more, and I highly suggest everyone checking it out). This palette includes great neutral/nude shades to make 'sultry Cleopatra eyes and Egyptian makeup mystery' according to the packaging. It's seriously the perfect size to carry in your purse without adding too much bulk or weight. I love that it has 12 shades, but I'm curious to know the names of the shades.

The value of this box is $95.95 and that's great to me! Definitely worth the $21.00 I spent on it. I love the products included and I can see myself using each and every one. This would have been the perfect box if the perfume hadn't leaked. Still, even though I had a non-perfect item, it's still the best box I've received this month so far! I always know that Boxycharm will impress me, no matter what comes in other boxes. Did anyone else get Boxycharm this month? Let me know what you thought of it in the comments!
