Birchbox CEW Awards Prestige Headliners LE Box (August 2014)

Last week, Birchbox released two limited edition boxes based on the 20th anniversary of the Insiders' Choice Awards. These two boxes teamed up Birchbox with the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) which highlights the best products available currently available. They did two boxes, this one with Prestige brands Headliners and another one of Mass Appeal (drugstore) items. They did a great deal where the Prestige box was $18.00 and the Mass Appeal was $15.00, but you saved $5.00 if you purchased both together. This was a great deal and a great way to try out new brands, both prestige and drug store, so I just had to get both. Here's the box!

The box is adorable. It came in one big brown shipping box, but the outside of the main boxes is adorable!

Info card. This goes into more detail about the awards and how/why this box was created.

Content card. No prices are listed, but it does show everything that is included.

First look. This box included smaller items so there was more packing material than the other, and thus it kept more of the box hidden.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil ($4.52) - This is the 'light' version of the original 100% Pure Argan Oil and is supposed to be 'ultralightweight' and 'quick-absorbing' compared to the original. While the Birchbox info card says this is for dry skin and eczema, the Sephora page says it is for all skin types, especially those prone to breakout -- yay! I'm hoping using this works to clear out my face (but afraid it will and I'll have to pay full price).

100% Pure Creamy Nail Polish (Deep Sea) ($12.00) - I love nail polish, it's true, and this is a great color to be able to try out this brand. I have seen other boxes and it seems like the color was random, and there are some great other colors available through Birchbox. Deep Sea can be worn at one coat but I would call it a two-coater to make sure it's opaque even with light shining through.

COOLA Environmental Repair Plus Radical Recovery After-Sun Lotion ($2.67) - I know, we are all over receiving Coola products, but I could actually see this being useful...if I ever got any sun. Luckily my fiance is in the sun daily, so he will end up using this (and never being told that it's technically a woman's product). It's still a great product and very summery.

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Crème ($10.00) - I've used Fekkai products sporadically throughout my teen years, usually when they were on sale of when I received a sample of them. I have always loved them and definitely need some creme to calm my hair down some. During the summer especially, it had a tendency to get frizzy and I need cremes all over the place to keep it calm!

Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight ($13.60) - Oh my, this is definitely expensive. I don't know that at 22 years, I should need an anti-wrinkle moisturizer, but I'm going to start using it -- I found more wrinkles on my forehead! I am very scared that this is going to work and I will have to shell out quite a bit to keep using it!

Toe Separators - This was one of the two Lifestyle Extras included. These aren't expensive at all, but they are handy to have around when I'm doing my toes and running around the house as well.

Birchbox CEW Pocket Mirror - I know I have mirrors (I probably still have receipts to prove it!), but I have zero mirrors in my purse/makeup bag. That's ridiculous, so this is definitely going to be put in there immediately!

This limited edition box, my first one purchased through Birchbox, was valued at $42.79, which is ridiculously amazing! I can see all of this being used besides the lotion, so it's a great value even if I had paid more! Did anyone else get this? Likes and dislikes of it? By the way, the Mass Appeal review will be up Thursday morning, so be sure to keep an eye out for that!
