What is Allure Beauty Box?: Allure Beauty Box is a monthly subscription box. Direct from the website info: "Each box includes at least five editor-curated deluxe-size products, with a total value of at least $50. Our editors select a mix of luxury and indie brands for each box. Sometimes we include a bonus product (or two) from a mass brand as a free gift to you." They define deluxe items as anything that you can get three uses out of but they also consider a single face mask a deluxe item.

How Much is Allure Beauty Box?: Allure Beauty Box is $23/month. If you sign up now, the website says you'll get your first box for $15.

Okay, let's see if the box is worth the $8 increase.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm ($12.11) - As I've mentioned in the past, I've really stopped using cleansing balms on the day-to-day and only use them on heavy makeup days. I did try this and it left my skin feeling nice, but I didn't like it as much as my Farmacy one.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Ultra-Light Fluid ($3.35) - An itty bitty sample of sunscreen. I'll use it, but I'm not happy about the size of the sample. It's a fine sunscreen but nothing special, like most sunscreens.

Cleo Noir Twist Up Eyeliner (Purple) ($18.00) - At least they didn't send another black liner! I love how creamy this is and it'll look good smudged into the crease when I'm doing a purple eye look.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume & Curl Mascara ($24.00) - This has been my current mascara from when I received it in a Boxycharm, so I'm fine with getting another. I might give this to my mom, because she loves it and I want to use my Pat McGrath one!

WaterL<ss Hair Care Instant Moisture Dry Conditioner ($1.23) - Dry conditioner is a weird thing, but it was a nice refresh for my ends. It's not something I'd purchase again, because I'm not entirely sure it's curly-girl approved, but it is fine for now.

E.L.F. Highlighting Brush ($4.00) - So the other box included a NYX Contour Brush valued at $18, which doesn't seem like a fair exchange. I also don't like how fluffy this is for my highlight so I'll probably use this for blush because it is a fine brush.

Glam Up Sheet Mask: Revitalizing Japanese Sake ($3.50) - I haven't really been doing sheet masks but this will be kept just for when I want to mask it up, I'll come back around to them again eventually.

This box was valued at $66.19, a disappointment compared to last month's $106 value at a lower cost point. It really seems like a cash grab to raise the price and then send lower value boxes. I did try to cancel after receiving this and they offered me my next two boxes at the old price to try to keep me, so I will be keeping it through November.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments below!
