What is Play by Sephora?: Play! by Sephora is Sephora's own monthly subscription box! Each month will include five deluxe samples plus a fragrance sample (or sometimes a hair sample), all coming from the same brands that Sephora carries! Each box also includes a Play Book (tips and tricks) and a Play Pass (a one-on-one tutorial at Sephora and a bonus 50 points with purchase).

How Much is Play by Sephora?: Play by Sephora is $10/month plus your state's sales tax (if a Sephora is in your store). It ships for free but only to the contiguous 48 states.

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil (Universal Taupe) ($7.71) - I swore this was going to be crap because there's no such thing as universal, but I was wrong. This is the perfect shade for me, and I could see it working for a few shades down and up. It's not too warm, not too cool, and just works. The formula is really good as well and I just really enjoyed using this. I haven't repurchased, but that's only because I'm using up other products.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($6.25) - This used to be my go-to mascara, and it's still a good one. I keep this sample in my purse for touch-ups or for when I need to put on some basic makeup.

Sachajuan Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner (Sample) - I passed this along because I haven't liked this brand in the past. A friend enjoyed it but there wasn't enough for a full use, my biggest complaint with these tiny samples.

Clinique Drastically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ ($6.67) - This is a fine product but nothing spectacular and honestly, I'm tired of all of the Clinique products. Sephora sells so many things and we get the same brands over and over.

Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water ($1.50) - I hate micellar water for my face, but I use it for removing makeup swatches from my arm. It doesn't work on liquid lipsticks, but it's fine for eyeshadows and blushes.

Volition Beauty Tumeric Brightening Polish ($3.17) - I didn't really notice any difference from before and after one use, so I passed it along to a friend that loves these types of products.

This bag was valued at $25.30, kinda low for a Sephora bag. This wasn't anything out of the new norm for Sephora and that's not a good thing.
