Jior Couture - The Kids Are Alright Review | Polish Pickup February 2019 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

I received this polish in exchange for a review. Find out more information here.

Hi everyone. This is my final PPU post for February. It's a thermal, so I am going ahead and apologizing for the sheer amount of pictures.

Polish Pickup is a monthly polish shopping extravaganza! Each month, there's a new theme (voted on by group members) and makers individually decide if they want to participate and create their own polish to meet the theme. This month, the store is open from 2/1-2/4, and you can buy as many or as few polishes as you want. The shipping is $3.00 total (US) (there's a $5 flat rate for Canada), no matter how many polishes you get, and they combine shipping if you make more than one order during the weekend!

Jior Couture's info:

The Kids Are Alright is a holo charcoal grey with a  thermal shift to silvery clear holo. Packed with color shifting, ultrachrome flakes, UP 2 gen pigment and a dusting of black micro glitter.

Brush macro.

Glossy (warm) nail macro.

This kinda makes my nails look dirty, I promise they aren't. It's just that the polish is full of holographic pigment, glitters, and flakies.

I used three coats. It dried down easily and without texture.

Glossy (cold) nail macro.

I really struggled with keeping this polish one particular temperature. Once it got warm, my fingers and nails didn't want to get cold.

When you get the polish super cold, it does appear to be fully opaque.

Glossy (transition) nail matte.

I tried to get it to transition, but it took some time. It has been freezing in Georgia to keep part of my nails warm and part cold was a struggle.

As you can tell, it didn't get completely warm or cold, but in some sort of in-between.

Matte nail macro.

I LOVE this polish with a matte top coat. All of the flakies made it so fun to photograph matte.

Formula:
 Very good.
Coats for Opacity: Three coats.
Ease of Dry: Quick dry.
Texture: None noted.
Finish: Shine.
Removal: Normal removal, no issues noted.

As always, let me know what you thought of this polish in the comments!
