ipsy Glam Bag - March 2018 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

Some of the links below are referral links. Find out more info here.

What is ipsy?: ipsy is a monthly subscription that sends 4-5 beauty/makeup products plus a different makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire.

How Much is ipsy?: ipsy is only $10 per month shipped to the United States or $10 plus shipping ($4.95) to Canada.

There is now a Glam Bag Plus for $25/month. I get that bag (box) in addition my regular one now. My second, regular ipsy is with the profile slightly different to get a variety of products.

Look at that beauty sponge. I hadn't seen a marble one when this came in!

So this bag came with markers for you to color your own design in. I didn't do it but I did send the markers with the bag so whomever ended up with it could!

City Color Cosmetics Glow Duo ($5.99) - This is a cream/powder product but it's not messy girl friendly. There's no divider between the cream and the powder so you can get powder in the cream if you aren't careful. Lucky for me, the powder highlight isn't nearly light enough for me so I didn't use it more than once. The cream is pretty but it doesn't show through very well under foundation, which is the only way I know how to use cream highlights. I ended up decluttering this.

Glossier Balm Dotcom (Mint) ($5.60) - Oh yes, this was my new favorite lip balm of the month. I go through a ton because even when my face is a bit combo/oily, my lips are always dry. This is minty without being too overwhelming. Some of the shades are  tinted but luckily, the mint isn't tinted green and is untinted!

Contour Cosmetics Lip Kti Pencil (Juju) (Not Sold Alone) - This is the perfect 'almost my lip color so it looks great with a ton of nude lip colors' pencil. It's creamy without being too creamy and slipping away. I wish this could be purchased alone because it's just such a perfect lip liner that I'll be sad when it's gone.

tarte Sex Kitten Eyeliner ($10.00) - While this is a really black eyeliner (I've received it in the past), I do not have the ability to use liquid eyeliner so I instantly pass these along. I do have one liquid liner that I practice with from time to time but my skills are around a three-year-old coloring.

Pink Pewter Splash & Swirl Makeup Sponge ($11.99) - This is an okay sponge, I like the flat sides to blend on my cheeks and forehead but it's a little on the hard side, even when it's been dampened. That said, there's no way I'd pay $12 for this sponge (even if it were amazing) when I could get two from ecoTools for the same price, and they work better.

Swatch L-R: City Color Cosmetics, Contour Cosmetics.

This bag was valued at $33.58, even with the one missing value. Basically, this bag was definitely worth the cost. I liked the bag okay and loved a few items, so it was worth it for me!

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
