Ipsy Glam Bag - April 2018 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

What is ipsy?: ipsy is a monthly subscription that sends 4-5 beauty/makeup products plus a different makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire.

How Much is ipsy?: ipsy is only $10 per month shipped to the United States or $10 plus shipping ($4.95) to Canada.

There is now a Glam Bag Plus for $25/month. I get that bag (box) in addition my regular one now. My second, regular ipsy is with the profile slightly different to get a variety of products.

Check out other ipsy reviews here.

Yep, that’s a NYX lippie. It’s fascinating that I get high end/expensive and drugstore products in the same box/bag.

I’m really not a fan of this bag. It’s just...meh.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Ibiza) ($6.50) - This is a pretty color but not quite my thing. It’s a little orange for my liking, and I’m not the biggest fan of the formula, especially compared to liquid lipsticks I use now. For beginners, though, this is the perfect first step into the liquid lipstick world.

Meech N Mia Loose Eyeshadow (Copper) ($11.50) - This is a stunning copper/brown shade. Because it’s a loose pigment, it does apply a bit more on the heavy side, so be prepared for that. I feel like with loose pigments, info should be included for people that aren’t used to using them as it’s not as easy as it would seem. Otherwise, this is a gorgeous shade a halo eye!

Paula Dorf Cosmetics Bronzer (Bora Bora) ($6.72) - I’m surprised because Ipsy seemed to get a bronzer shade that actually works for me! This isn’t too dark nor too light, and is a really good shade match as well! The formula is really good and even with a smaller pan, I’ll never finish this (I have a lot of bronzers for someone that only recently started using it).

Trifle Cosmetics Sugar Bunny Lip Scrub ($9.00) - I’m so tired of receiving lip scrubs in products. I seem to get one at least every other month and definitely do not use them fast enough to need a new one so frequently. I passed this along.

H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment ($7.60) - Such an itty bitty sample of a moisturizer! While this was a good moisturizer, there just wasn’t enough product for me to be able to tell if there were any long-term benefits.

Swatches top-bottom: Meech & Mia, Paula Dorf, NYX.

This bag was valued at $41.32, well over the cost of it. I liked half of the products so that means it was a win for me, and it would have been a solid win if I didn’t have so many products and get so many bags that I have extras coming out of every corner of my house.

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
