Boxycharm - February 2018 | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

This post includes referral links to Boxycharm. If you use my link to sign up, I will get charms in my Boxycharm account. Find out more information here.

What is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box that sends 4-5 full-size beauty products with boxes being valued at $100+. Each month has a theme but it's not followed exactly as much as the spirit of the theme. Shipping has gotten a lot better since my last Boxycharm post, I get my box almost always in the first half of the month (there is a distribution center less than an hour from my house).

How Much is Boxycharm?: Boxycharm is $21/month shipped. Currently, Boxycharm is offered to the US, its territories, and Canada.

If you sign up for Boxycharm Luxe, four times a year you will get a different box that costs an additional $28.99 on top of the $21. You will not get a 'regular' Boxycharm that month and there's currently no way to get both the regular and the Luxe during the Luxe months without having two subscriptions at once. Until you can get both without dealing with two subscriptions, I will stay with the 'regular' one.

Check out those brushes! It's always a good month when you get a brush set.

OFRA Cosmetics Pop Up Palette Mini ($19.00)/OFRA Cosmetics Blush Refill (Godet) ($12.00) - I've never had a magnetic palette before this one, so this was actually a hit. I ended up keeping this blush because it's a good shade for me, but I put in some of my Juvia's Place singles and a highlight. All I'm missing is a good bronzer shade but otherwise, I have most of a look in one palette. Magnetic palettes ftw.

Crown Pro Trio Brush Set ($29.99) - I can only find this through Boxycharm so I'm not sure if this is what Crown would actually charge for these brushes. It seems fairly overpriced compared to what Crown Brushes charges for their other sets. It's a good brush set, however. I haven't had any bristles come out during use or any problems with them not distributing product. I am not a fan of the white bristles on a personal level as some reds and pinks do stain and then your brushes aren't as pristine as they once were.

Pür Cosmetics X-Faux Lips Plumping Lip Exfoliator ($17.00) - This is another item that I cannot find for sale on the manufacturer's website. I do like this product and use it (sparingly) when my lips have a lot of dead skin, but I do not see any plumping action going on when I use it. This is a pretty good exfoliator but it does have beads in it which I know some people are against.

Cover FX Shimmer Veil (Amethyst) ($28.00) - I was so pumped to try this but it's not quite what I expected. I used it on my lids to try it out and it did transfer onto the top part of my eyelid when I used it. High hopes, man.

Vintage Cosmetics Smokey Eye Pencil (Jet Black) ($21.00) - Does anyone actually use all of these black eyeliners that we receive? Pass.

Swatches top-bottom: Cover FX, Vintage Cosmetics. Missing is the swatch of the blush that's perfect.

This box was valued at $126.99, which is actually a little low for Boxycharm. I liked a few items but nothing was life-changing besides the palette, but overall it was just a meh month.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
