Fortune Cookie Soap Of the Month - October 2017 (Friendsgiving Box) | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

This box has been revamped since I purchased it. It's going to be a hybrid of the old Fortune Cookie Soap Box and the OTM Box. The box is $16.95 monthly, $67.80 quarterly (four boxes yearly a la the old school box), and $186.12 yearly. Go here for all of the info. Yes, FCS will be returning to my house in 2019.

What is Fortune Cookie Soap's FCS of the Month Box?: Fortune Cookie Soap of the Month is Fortune Cookie Soap's monthly box to get your monthly fix of FCS products. It launched at the beginning of the year and has had some amazing themes so far. Each month's box has a different theme (hair, body, face, feet, etc.) and will have a mix of past, present, and new scents/products along with at least one brand new product. You can skip any months you want to so it's the perfect subscription if you want specific items or only want a few boxes a year.

How Much is Fortune Cookie Soap's FCS of the Month Box?: FCS of the Month is $28.00 plus shipping ($6.95 for the US). Use code 'Firstfcsbox' to save $6.95 off of your first box.

I didn't mean to do it like this but I really enjoy BING being the focal point of this picture.

Friendsgiving, Friends, it totally works.

The Rachel (Hair Oil) ($8.99) - When I had longer hair, I used this from time to time on my ends to keep them smooth. Now that I have shorter hair, I gave it away. Even the slightest bit of oil on my ends ended up making my entire head of hair start looking greasy, and that's with my scalp still on the dry side. I couldn't imagine someone with a greasy scalp using this successfully (if you did, let me know!).

OCD (OCD Hand Sanitizer) ($1.00) - I never get rid of my OCDs as long as they don't have glitter in them. I stockpile them because I always have one or two with me. The outside world is gross. This smells like super sweet apples and candy, so I make sure to use this in not small spaces as it's a little strong.

I'll Be There For You (Perfume Oil) ($7.99) - As I've mentioned enough times on here already, I cannot be trusted with perfume oils. I loved this scent (light and fruity with a hint of flowers) but I do not use these.

We Were on a Break! (Teeth Whitener) ($14.99) - I really wanted this to work. I like trying teeth whiteners and am always interested in seeing if they will work. This one made more of a mess of my toothbrush and my sink than it did whiten my teeth. I'm not even sure this made it to my mouth before making a mess everywhere else. Pass.

Smelly Cat (Hand Poured Soy Candle) ($7.99) - Have you ever heard of a candle that smells like sweet potatoes? Me neither. I didn't like this one bit so it was a pass before I even burned it.

Bing (Whipped Cream) ($10.99) - I like this version of Whipped Cream. I love the tubs for at home but a container like this is so much easier to use on the go. It smells a lot like cooking at Christmas (spicey with a hit of sweet) and was overall a really good Whipped Cream.

How You Doin'? (Hydrate Me) ($10.99) - This is still sitting in my shower to this date. I switch between using this and a few Lush products to hyrdate me during the cold months, so I don't go through a lot of this type of product in general. The scent is a little more musky than I normally gravitate towards, but it's not so strong that I can't get away with it.

The value of this box was $62.94, well over the cost. I didn't get a lot of products that I liked, so to me the value wasn't really there. I hoped for a different variety of products from a Friends-themed box.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
