What is BarkBox?: BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for your favorite pupper. Each box includes five items, two toys, two bags of treats, and a chew. You tell them the size of your pupper and how you want to pay, and then you decide if you want to spend an extra $9/box for an extra toy! It's divided into three sizes, so Trumpet fits nicely in the middle category as 'Just Right.'
How Much is BarkBox?: If you want no commitments, cancel anytime, the box is $29/month. A three-month commitment brings it down to $25/month. Six months is $23/month (billed up-front as $138) and a one-year commitment is $20/month but you get to pay monthly! You get free shipping anywhere in the US and Canada, but there is sales tax applied to certain states.
Why yes, I am using my dog to promote things. He's adorable, even with a runny nose and eye gunk.
For the first BarkBox, I thought it best to do a full break-down of what your BarkBox will look like. Almost always, the box will be this generic brown box.
Each month's box has a theme and the theme extends to the paper wrapping each month's goodies!

Andi's Famous Plush Dumplings ($16.00) - This reminds me of the burrowing toys that I find Trumpet really likes but in a completely rethought way. The 'lid' has a small velcro closure which makes the pupper work for the toys inside a bit more. Trumpet gave up on me putting the dumplings back in the container and instead just plays with the dumplings individually. I'll admit, their faces made it more difficult for me to let Trumpet try to tear them up. These also got dirty very easily because hello, white.
Lady Liberty Ball ($12.00) - This is the bigger version of the toy, meaning there was a smaller one. He would have preferred a smaller one because this actually barely fits in his mouth and hasn't been played with very much. He'll fetch it but won't chew it up, meaning it's still perfect.
Butcher's Block Bones ($3.00) - Oh, no. Some insight, Trumpet chews things (besides food) on the furniture or on our bed, not on a rug or in his crate, so that means whatever he is chewing leaves residue on everything. This is all to say that he doesn't get greasy chews (read actual animal products).
Best Treats Ever (Turkey & Duck Strips) ($7.00) - Let me say, Trumpet will almost always love a treat as long as it's a chew and not a crunch. These were no exception and he really loved them because these were long strips rather than small bites.
No Grainers NYC Jerky Chews (Roasted Duck Recipe) ($7.00) - Like I said before, give Trumpet a bag of chewy treats and you'll have a super happy pupper. These are smaller than the strips, more of a nugget, so he was less happy because he only gets one treat regardless of how big it is.
This box was valued at $45.00, well over the cost of the box. The theme was freaking adorable and I definitely loved the Food Takeout Container the most, just because of the dumplings!
