Emporium Beauty Box - July 2017
What is Emporium Beauty Box?: Emporium Beauty Box is a bimonthly (every other month) subscription box filled with indie cosmetics, bath and body products, and indie perfumes. It began through Femme Fatale, an indie makeup and nail polish brand.
How Much is Emporium Beauty Box?: Each box is $51.15 AUD, including shipping. There are also international shipping options for Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, etc.
This box was the highlight of my Summer. It was packed full of some of my favorite brands and some brands I had been eyeing for quite some time! Shipping was about two weeks, just what I would expect for a box coming from Australia.
Info card.
Facial Soap (Nebula) by The Chequered Lily ($1.50) - This smells so good and I love the star design. This is cute enough to actually be given as a gift to someone, I only wish I were able to find a similar style on the website!
Solid Perfume (Andromeda) by One Hand Washes the Other (Sample) - The full size of this is exclusive to Femme Fatale and it smells sooooo good. It's sweet and tart but with this almost masculine scent. I'm a big fan of perfume solids (I am messy and these are great to throw in a bag or purse) so this was perfect for me!
Perfume Oil (Moon Bunny) by Geek Fire Labs (Sample) - I liked this scent, not as much as the solid one though. It's a little sweeter than I typically prefer but it was still really nice. The roasted marshmallow did make me a bit hungry and want to go to a bonfire.
Lip Balm (Cosmic Crisp) by Epically Epic Soap Co. ($3.75) - Super apple-y! It's based on cross-bred version of two apples and it's a nice sweet but also a little tart scent, my favorite combination! It felt really moisturizing and comfortable without making your lips dry once it's wore off.
Blush (Solar Flares) by Glamour Doll Eyes (Sample) - A soft mauve base with a red-to-orange shift & a dab of golden sparkle. I used to buy and review the OTM subscription by Glamour Doll Eyes so this isn't a new-to-me brand. It's a really pretty shade but it has far too much glitter for me to wear as a blush. As an eye pigment, it's gorgeous and the color pops perfectly.

Highlight (Ganymede) by Corvus Cosmetics ($10.00) - A silvery violet base with a strong turquoise shift.
This is a highlight that I initially wasn't sure how it was going to look. I liked how light of a base it was but the atypical shifts used to frighten me. When I popped it on the apples of my cheeks, I instantly fell in love! It looked like a normal highlight until the light moves and then POP!

Eyeshadow (Chromosphere) by Notoriously Morbid ($5.50) - A plum base with teal green shimmer & rainbow sparkle.
Like with all Notoriously Morbid products, I loved this one from the start. It has a nice shimmer to contrast with the base and it is such a gorgeous purple.
Night Kiss Lip Balm (Absolute Zero) by Notoriously Morbid ($3.00) - Scented and flavored with a mixture of blue raspberry, mint, and vanilla.
If you are looking for a super moisturizing daily lip balm, this is one of my favorites. I've used Night Kiss Balms for a bit now and they always hold up.

Eyeshadow (Spotting Satellites) by Femme Fatale Cosmetics ($5.84) - A deeper base gives way to a prominent bright blue sheen which shifts to purple at an angle; scattered throughout are glints of silver stars.
This is a gorgeous deep blue shadow. It would go well with so many different eye looks or could even be used with a wet skinny brush to line your eyes!

Eyeshadow (Bolide) by innocent+twisted Alchemy - A silvery grey with a golden green duochrome & subtle red shift.
This is such a gorgeous grey that's almost an OD Green in some lightings. I really love it. (Unfortunate news, innocent+twisted Alchemy is in the process of shutting her doors.)

You know I was super excited about this candy. The gum eggs were particularly weird (there was goo in the middle) but soooooo good.
Overall, I was thrilled with this box. The products were all amazing, the brands were a good mixture of the major indie categories, and the shades/scents were perfect. My only wish is that an indie polish had been included, but I understand the added difficulties of shipping nail polish internationally (an issue that I deal with frequently). The price point was awesome considering you receive all of these amazing products and they include candy!! (Yes, it's easy to please me.)
As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
