TacPack - January 2017

What is TacPack?: TacPack is a monthly subscription box full of gun gear for shooters and gun fanatics. Each month may include AR15 accessories, knives, EDC tools, targets, patches, shirts, cleaning materials, and stickers. Each box will include 3-7 pieces each month. You tell them your shirt size and glove size, so there's a slight hint at what might be in boxes!

How Much is TacPack?: The subscription is currently $49.95. You can also purchase past boxes when they are available and even items from the past boxes or specialty boxes.

New year, new box. You never know what will come in this box.

Info card.

Sawtooth Barrel Floss ($18.00) - While their website is a little strange (poorly formatted, issues where they need to fix photos and such), they appear to be a real company (they aren't a secure website so be wary). In the words of my husband, 'I've probably paid more for worse barrel cleaners because this one isn't metal wire.' I say it reminds me of shoestring but what do I know about this kind of thing?

Martin Hammer ($20.00) - Just a nope. First of all, super expensive. Second, husband doesn't do keychains. That really cool Key Smart thing he received in his box some time ago was the best thing that he could have received and he enjoys having a minimalistic key style.

LighterBro Stealth ($16.00) - A lighter holder that is also a mini-multitool. It includes a screwdriver, a pair of scissors, and a mini-knife. We don't use typical lighters on the day-to-day, but this is really handy to have in your go-bag to have some basic necessities all in one place.

Breakthrough Clean Battle Born Grease ($19.00) - Breakthrough is a really good brand and their grease is a really clean product. Their formula is optimized to work in ridiculously cold or ridiculously hot temperatures, so it will work no matter where you are or where you are shooting.

5.11 Tactical Knife ($43.00) - Your typical tanto knife, not assisted opening. Because of that, husband just isn't a fan of it. I, however, do use non-assisted opening knives frequently (less likely to hurt myself). I believe this is the one in my office that I use to open packages.

This box was valued at $116, over double the cost. It wasn't the best box but it was still pretty good.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
