Literary Lacquers - Ocean at the End of the Lane Trio Review

Happy times, Literary Lacquers is back to making and selling polish! Her return starts with this trio as well as quite a few returning polishes and a gift with purchase (there will be more posts up soon!). First up I have this trio to share with you guys, it's a doozy and perfect for cool-tone lovers! This trio is so pretty and they work together or alone. It's inspired by the book of the same title by Neil Gaiman, which is on my list of books to read. The trio releases Friday, June 23rd at noon MDT. Holographics & Multichromes are $12 each, Shimmers & Cremes are $10 each.

Lettie's Ocean is a soft turquoise holo with holo sparkle.

Glossy nail macro.

Lettie is an eleven-year-old girl who just may have very well been eleven for a very long time.

This is such a perfect clear blue polish packed with tons of sparkle. Like lights reflecting off of a clear ocean.

Matte nail macro.

Even matte, so lovely.

Formula: Good, a little thick.
Coats for Opacity: Two coats.
Ease of Dry: Quick.
Texture: None noted.
Finish: Super shine.

Miner's Gift is a blue/purple multichrome with holographic microflakes, best at three coats.

Glossy nail macro.

Inspired by the character of the opal miner.

Straight on, it's just blurple goodness! The microflakes pop like stars on the night sky.

Matte nail macro.

When matte the blue-ness goes away and it's just a powerful purple!

Formula: Good.
Coats for Opacity: Two coats.
Ease of Dry: Quick.
Texture: None noted.
Finish: Shine.

Swaying Grayly is a matte light grey polish packed with silver flakes and glass fleck, best at 3 coats, no top coat for matte effect, or with topcoat for a more metallic silver look.

Glossy nail macro.

Inspired by the persistent description of Ursula Monkton in her true form as Skarthach of the Keep as represented by tattered grey canvas.

Swaying Grayly has a slight bronze tinge in the right lighting, probably why I love it so much.

Matte nail macro.

Sans top coat. It's such an amazing matte polish, my favorite finish!

Formula: Good.
Coats for Opacity: Three thin coats.
Ease of Dry: Quick.
Texture: None noted.
Finish: Matte.

As always, let me know what you thought of this trio in the comments!
