BeautyCon Box - Winter Review

What is BeautyCon Box?: BeautyCon Box is a quarterly (March, June, September, and December) box with a guarantee of $100 of beauty, fashion, and skin care items. Each box is curated by someone (Influencer, Beauty Guru, etc). Boxes can also include exclusive items designed specifically for BeautyCon subscribers!

How much is BeautyCon Box?: BeautyCon Box is $29/quarter plus shipping. It is currently only available in the US but they are working on making it an international box so keep your eyes peeled for that!

I signed up for this subscription at Black Friday so I paid a lower rate. I'd suggest if you can wait, subscribing then so you can get the much lower cost!

Before finally subscribing, I definitely kept my eye on BeautyCon boxes for quite some time. I just knew that it was going to be excellent.

I love the way this box is packaged. The little extra wrap around it makes me so happy.

If you ever wanted to be a YouTuber, each box has an insert telling you how to do a basic unboxing!

Info card.

BioBelle Botanic Fiber Facial Mask (#AfterParty) ($4.99) - As the name suggests, this is for rehydrating your exhausted skin after a night out or just a dry day. I do like fiber masks although I recently saw a 'hack' to cut the mask in half so it will fit better, which I think will make me love masks. It did feel like my skin was more hydrated than before, typical of other sheet masks.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment ($21.25) - This was a soft pass for me, I wanted to keep it and use it up but I just can't. It's a great product but my skin gets really dry with chemical exfoliators. Sadly, I had to give this away, which makes me sad.

ALI & JAY $50 Gift Card ($50, but not really) - Might be just me but I don't consider a gift card a valid item choice for a box when the cheapest item I could find on this website far exceeded the value of the gift card. If I receive a gift card in these types of boxes, it should be enough and for a store that I can try an item without having to put money towards the item. Also, they don't seem to have a large variety of styles or sizes so I'm not even sure I could find something to fit me that would lay nicely.

Skinvolve Body Karate Cream ($39.99) - This is one of those items that I wish I had looked up the price before using, because I fell in love with it. It's such a good cream, thicker than a lotion but not quite a butter. It reminds me of old-school cold cream, a nice pleasant and light scent.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water ($3.99) - My favorite way to cleanse my face on days I wear makeup and days I do not. It's refreshing and does a good job of removing all of my makeup, even mascara and brows. This is my number one recommendation to anyone as a staple in their daily routine.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (Sample) - This is my go-to contour product. I use this shade when I'm tanner and use the Milk Chocolate one when I'm more pale. It is a good cool-toned powder so it gives you a shadow without making it look obviously tan.

Artist Couture Illuminati Diamond Glow Powder ($26.99) - Oh my goodness, this is such a gorgeous highlight shade. It's a little dark for my taste for my pale days but it's perfect for when I'm a little darker. I could also see this being a nice highlight shade for darker skin tones as well.

Rimmel The Only 1 Lip Color (110 Satin) ($7.49) - This is a nice pinky shade, a little darker and pinker than my lip colors. I like the formula of this lip stick and I'd like to try the matte one as well, for testing sakes (not because I am a little obsessed with all lip products).

Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Tapered Highlighting Brush (522) ($24.00) - Luxie brushes are some of my favorite, second only to Morphe. They are up there in cost but when I receive them in these boxes, I'm always pleased!

ColourPop BeautyCon Exclusive Lippie Stix ($5.00) - If you are looking for a creamy formula that leaves you with a satin finish, look no further than ColourPop's Lippie Stix. This shade is exclusive to BeautyCon but there are so many gorgeous shades to choose from and at a super low price!

L'Oreal Voluminous Primer/Base & Feline Mascara ($8.99/$8.99) - These ended up being passed to my mother, she's a sucker for trying a new mascara and she really loved the duo.

ColourPop, Artist Couture, Rimmel.

The value of this box was $178.70 if you count the $50 gift card, $128.70 without. I ended up falling in love with a few products but a few were a pass. Either way, I got far more value from my box than what I paid!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
