Treatsie - November 2016

What is Treatsie?: Treatsie is a monthly subscription box with sweets! It's actually a box with artisan sweets, so the kinds of things I won't normally spend the time to make but love eating. Each box has food from three different vendors so there will always be a good variety and plenty to sample from.

How Much is Treatsie?: Treatsie is $19.95/month but guarantees at least a $25 value, and you can always lower your monthly cost by subscribing for longer terms. If you click here to sign up, you will get double sweets for your first month!

At this point, I expected nothing good from Treatsie. This box was actually delayed so much so that I received it sometime just before Christmas.

It didn't even ship in the normal subscription box or with an info card. I saw that others received completely different items and that it was just a mess of items to placate customers because they didn't have a box prepared.

CC Made Caramel Popcorn (Candy Cane) ($1.67) - I'm not a fan of caramel popcorn, I'm not really a fan of popcorn in general, so this was an immediate fail. Because it had an added flavor on top of the caramel, this wasn't even something I could give to husband to eat so it was a pass to my mother.

Morning Glory Confections Brittle (Masala Chai & Cashew) ($4.99) - Oh let me count the ways on how I didn't like these. Nothing against the company but the flavors aren't my thing and the consistency isn't either.

Torn Ranch Chocolate Chip Cookies ($4.50) - I already received this once before so I already knew what to expect, cookies that aren't soft or particularly good. I immediately put them in a bag to send off to my mom.

KYYA Dark Chocolate (Ugandan Granola Infused Bar) ($6.00) - This was an automatic given to my mom, not because it's bad but because I knew how much she would love it. She, like myself, loves all dark chocolates - the more bitter the better. She loved this so much she's actually considering placing an order for more of the chocolate.

The value of this box was $17.16, sadly still not enough to meet their guarantee. Unfortunately the only hit item was the dark chocolate that I shared with my mother.

As always, let me know what you thought of this Treasie box!
