Play! by Sephora - October 2016

What is Play by Sephora?: Play! by Sephora is Sephora's own monthly subscription box! Each month will include five deluxe samples plus a fragrance sample, all coming from the same brands that Sephora carries! Each box also includes a Play Book (tips and tricks) and a Play Pass (a one-on-one tutorial at Sephora and a bonus 50 points with purchase).

How Much is Play by Sephora?: Play by Sephora is $10/month plus your state's sales tax (if a Sephora is in your store). It ships for free but only to the contiguous 48 states.

Lipstix & Chill, my favorite.

Info card. Side note, the bonus points card that comes every month can be added to your Apple Wallet (via the Sephora app) so you don't have to remember to bring the card with you when you go to the store.

Derek Lam 10 Crosby Silent St. (Sample) - Very musky and definitely not my style of perfume. It's a little deeper and just not what I prefer to wear.

Madam C.J. Walker Scent & Shine Coconut Oil ($2.44) - It's supposed to soften hair while fighting frizz, basically I need a gallon size jug of it. There's not a lot in this sample so I'll probably grab a full size bottle. I also feel like the dispenser in the full-size would work a lot better than this dropper.

The Estee Edit Flash Photo Gloss ($7.41) - Oh dear, no. This is a gloss to go over your lip color that has a blue tint to make your teeth look whiter but you first have to get past the sticky feeling to want to wear it out. This reminded me of child's makeup but with a very adult price.

Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray ($9.07) - I like this as a hydrating spray to help my dry skin but I definitely wouldn't pay for a full bottle of it. It doesn't do anything more than my current skincare routine and my routine is much less expensive. I haven't tried it as a setting spray but again, very expensive when there are better alternatives.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum ($15.00) - Just no. I've been having some skin issues the past few months where my face has been very dry and I've been careful with anything harsh so this was just a major skip. It's supposed to be safe for sensitive skin but anything glycolic/peel has been put in the nope pile.

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Driver's Seat) ($10?) - There wasn't any information on this tube, I had to look on the information sheet to even see what shade it was, so that made me slightly confused. I do really like this shade and the formula is good, not drying and my lips didn't feel like they were cracking and falling apart. I'm planning on grabbing a tube or two when I am at Sephora again (and when I remember, I'm awful at forgetting what I'm going for but find five things I wasn't looking for).

This bag was valued at 43.92, a massive steal for the cost of the bag. I did find a few items I liked and a few that I didn't, all the point of the bag!

Are any of these products favorites of yours? Should I give something a second chance? Let me know in the comments!
