I have to say, coming back to the VC was like seeing an old friend that you loved and missed and excitedly brought back in.

Theme and info card. This month's subscription was created in collaboration with a Morbid Maven, Andrea (check her out!). The theme of the month is Come Up and Try My New Parts and featured three loose eyeshadow pigments, one loose highlighter, and one Changeling Top Coat (a topper for a lip color causing it to change colors).

Grave Robber is a gorgeous gingerbread brown with copper holographic reflects.
Application was very easy, I used a flat eyeshadow brush for the swatch and found it to be very smooth and easy to use. I would use it as a crease color to blend or as an outer corner shade for a lighter smokey eye.

I Look Like a Crime Scene Dad is a cornflower blue with a few silvery blue reflects.
Application is a little light at first but is very buildable. This one be a good shade for the center of your eyelid to add a pop of color.

I'll Keep Those Vultures Guessing is a steely blue/grey with lighter blue reflects.
This shadow applied very easily and evenly. This would be perfect to create a smokey eye and be used as the outer corner. It would also be good for a drastic cut crease.

I Thought I'd Seen A Ghost is a lilac highlighter.
In the swatch below, I applied this with a flat eyeshadow brush rather than a highlighter brush to get the concentrated pigment look. It could be either a cheek highlight or an eye highlight, I prefer a cheek highlight. It blings on your cheeks and adds a sparkle that you can see from space.

Zydrate is a Changeling top coat to change the color of your lip (or eye) color.
The formula of this is slightly on the watery side of a liquid lipstick (rather than a mousse/whipped lipstick) but applies easily and dries quickly. It acts like a blue/purple duochrome to change the shade of your lip color and cause an amazing effect.

Swatches.

For my first month back to Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabinet, it was stunning and perfect. All three eyeshadow pigments were gorgeous and the highlighter and Changeling were the perfect addition. The full mini-collection is just gorgeous and I'm ready for February already!

As always, let me know what you thought of this month's NMVC in the comments!
