Literary Lacquers - Swallowed Up in Blue Review

Remember when I told you guys in the CALM Box Review that I had bought some polishes from Literary Lacquers? Here is where they start! This was also part of my week long swatch-a-thon and I was kicking myself for not swatching sooner!

A little info, Literary Lacquers is a solid indie polish brand that bases collections around literary references. There is a Facebook Group where you can get early information about restocks and new releases as well as share your love of books of all kinds with other book lovers! Make sure you like the Facebook Group as well for constant updates!

And now, here is Swallowed Up in Blue!

Swallowed Up in Blue is a sky blue linear holo with a strong pink/red shimmer.

Bottle macro.

Glossy nail macro.

Honestly, love. Such a gorgeous polish!

The shimmer, it kills me. I love the way the shimmer pops out so much!

Matte nail macro.

Even matte, you can still see the shimmer, that's how strong it is! It's delicate and powerful at the same time and such a perfect polish.

I did use three coats of Swallowed Up in Blue and it was still a little on the thin side. Next time, I will put a white undie just to help strengthen the polish as well as hide the minute amount of nail line that was there. It had a very smooth application and dried easily to a demi-gloss finish.

Do you own any polishes from Literary Lacquers? Let me know which ones I need to grab next in the comments!
