The Howling Boutique's Supermoon Lacquer - Galactic Halo Review

The Howling Boutique, a nail polish jewelry shop, has now created a nail polish line named Supermoon Lacquer. Get it, Howling, Supermoon? It's all a thing! I finally have the Ready to Launch Collection to show you guys! The full Ready to Launch collection (9 polishes) is available for a discounted $85 or each polish is available for $9-$11.

I will have the polishes each getting their own review at some point. I had a goal of doing it daily, but life happened. I just want to make sure each polish gets the appropriate attention! Today, I have Galactic Halo.

Just because I saw how gorgeous this polish was outside, I had to take a quick picture.

Shown below is three thin coats of Galactic Halo.

Galactic Halo is an orchid-purple scattered holographic with blue undertones and strong violet-to-blue color shifting shimmer. Basically, it's my life.

Look at the holographic and the shimmer. Deep purples are one of my favorite shades, so I knew immediately that I was going to love this polish.

Nail macro in direct light, showing all of the holographic!

Natural lighting, check out the blue shimmer!!

I absolutely love how this applies, it goes on so smoothly and caused zero issues. I added a single coat of glossy top coat to add extra shine.

It looks so wonderful on, and the shine makes the holographic definitely stand out. It's not the strongest holographic, but it's very evident under direct sunlight (which I haven't gotten in days and I'm both happy and sad about) or under indoor lighting.

Matte, the shimmer flakes come out tenfold and almost look like a true flakie.

I feel like matte causes more of the shimmer to come out and small lighting changes creates a huge change in shades, which I really love.

While I knew I would love this polish, I had no clue just how much I would really love it. This is practically the perfect purple and is necessary for all purple-lovers out there.

Let me know what you thought of Galactic Halo, do you prefer it matte or glossy? Tell me in the comments!
