Pretty & Polished Beauty Box - July 2016

Disclosure: This is a press sample, all opinions are my own.

Warning: This is a photo heavy post.

What is Pretty and Polished?: Pretty and Polished is an indie nail polish brand that also sells bath & body products, nail vinyls, and this Beauty Box! This is a box that you get to choose which months you want to get, rather than a subscription that you have to cancel or skip. Just remember to buy it each month if you want to continue!

How Much is Pretty and Polished Beauty Box?: Pretty and Polished Beauty Box is only $22.00/month! Each box contains a coupon that could be 10% off or $5.00 off to use in the store as well, which means you can get more polish and products from this amazing maker. You can buy for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months at a time, and the boxes are cheaper at 6 months!

It's time for another Pretty & Polished Beauty Box. My first polish from this wonderful brand was actually the July Beauty Box from last year when I wasn't nearly as skilled with nails and photography as I currently am. ;)

First off, extras! This watermelon Mani Melt is life and love. I don't like eating watermelons, but I love anything watermelon flavored or scented so this was right up my alley. I am hoping this scent comes up for sale in the store soon so I can grab multiples! The nail decals are absolutely adorable and I'm working on figuring out a good way to use them!

Righteous Ruby - Rightfully named, Righteous Ruby is a ruby red sheer base with red glitters in mini and small.

After last year's amazing red, I knew it would take a lot to impress me but this one did. It's not entirely full coverage with one coat, so you will need two to get it fully covered.

I used two coats for this manicure, with one coat of top coat. To make it glassy and fully smooth, this will require more layers of top coat to smooth this out. The glitters do cause this polish to be a bit gritty. Side note, would it be preferred for me to make all polishes super smooth from here on out and mention how much top coat it required?

I really, really just love this polish. The depth is amazing and it's another great red polish from Pretty & Polished.

Star Spangled - A white base with tons of blue and red mini glitters to perfectly match the name.

This polish just screams 'America' to me, and I really think it's perfect. You could definitely get away with one thick coat, but I always prefer to use two thinner coats to see how much of the first coat shows through.

This really just is my favorite polish from this month's box. It's such a unique polish and perfectly created for July. With a single coat of glossy top coat, it is almost perfectly smooth. For the nail art, I have planned, two layers of top coat will be required, however.

Props to Pretty & Polished for coming up with quite possibly the most unique polish I have seen so far this year. It is wonderful alone or as part of your own art creation.

Blue Giant - A royal blue base with plenty of matching microglitters.

If you were looking for a new blue polish to have, this is it. It's full of depth and wonder and it's basically a requirement for any blue lovers (like myself).

This polish is nearly smooth without any top coat, so you only need one coat to make it super shiny and glossy. I used two coats of Blue Giant to get to full opacity.

For the person who tends to buy just about every blue polish I find, this is the perfect addition and one I haven't seen before.

Overall, I really loved this Beauty Box from Pretty & Polished. This box is currently available here and will be until the end of the month! I suggest you grabbing this box if you are looking for a perfect 'America' box or just if you want to try out Pretty & Polished.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
