TacPack - March 2016

What is TacPack?: TacPack is a monthly subscription box full of gun gear for shooters and gun fanatics. Each month may include AR15 accessories, knives, EDC tools, targets, patches, shirts, cleaning materials, and stickers. Each box will include 3-7 pieces each month. You tell them your shirt size and glove size, so there's a slight hint at what might be in boxes!

How Much is TacPack?: I can no longer find where these can be purchased as one-offs, but the subscription is currently $49.95. You can also purchase past boxes when they are available and even items from the past boxes or

Last year, I reviewed TacPack and while the main product caused problems, the owner of the company is so wonderful that we said we would try them out again. My husband subsequently followed them on Instagram and he decided he wanted to start subscribing to them. He started with the April box (which will be up next week), but he found out he still had a chance to get the March box he jumped on it.

I tried something different with this box. I don't know if I like box displays or if I prefer flat-lays, so let me know if you have a preference!

I just love the TacPack logo, so I wanted to share that this is still their box. This box ships Priority Mail, so it comes in usually two business days from shipping.

Info card!

Cattleman's Cutlery Ranch Hand Multi Tool ($21.00) - This is such a cool tool to have on hand. It has pliers, a crescent wrench, a blade, both Phillips head and flathead screwdrivers, and a star bit. Basically, it has just about everything you could possibly need for day-to-day use!

Gerber Hunting Ceramic Pocket Sharpener ($4.00) -

Hexmag HX Series ($14.99) - This Hexmag was actually the major contributor to husband wanting this box. He's been wanting to try out a Hexmag and this was the perfect opportunity (excuse?). Hexmags are wonderful and they even have the Hexmag ID color-coding system with dots on the bottom so you can easily tell what you have loaded in your mag without unloading it.

DesignHex TacPack DesignHex ($7.50) - To get the DesignHex from the company is $19.99 for three, but the TacPack ones are custom that you can purchase directly from TacPack. Yes, this is already on the above Hexmag. It's such a cool thing that you can buy designs for your mags so you can design yours to your liking.

TacPack Variant Patch ($5.00) - Because this is not available to order separately, I am estimated on the cost of this. This is such a cool variant, and it was for St. Patrick's Day. Patches are always nice because they can go on gun bags or go bags easily.

Overall I figured up that this box is valued at $52.49, which is over the cost of the box. I'm sure that the estimated value of the box came before the lowering of the Ranch Tool price that I found. Like I've said, this box is 100% for my husband and in his words, he loved everything. We purchased this box after the April box came in, after which he put in a 'formal request' to continue getting the box indefinitely.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
