Pretty & Polished Beauty Box - May 2016

Disclosure: This is a press sample, all opinions are my own.

What is Pretty and Polished?: Pretty and Polished is an indie nail polish brand that also sells bath & body products, nail vinyls, and this Beauty Box! This is a box that you get to choose which months you want to get, rather than a subscription that you have to cancel or skip. Just remember to buy it each month if you want to continue!

How Much is Pretty and Polished Beauty Box?: Pretty and Polished Beauty Box is only $22.00/month! Each box contains a coupon that could be 10% off or $5.00 off to use in the store as well, which means you can get more polish and products from this amazing maker. You can buy for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months at a time, and the boxes are cheaper at 6 months!

Sorry this is a little bit late, there was a slight delay and then I was busy with the Icon Collection! By the way, that Mani Melt in Champagne Rose is the most amazing thing ever. I have refused to use it because I love the way it smells and I don't want to lose it. Bonus vinyls also included!

First up is Bermuda Triangle, a sky blue crelly base with dark blue microglitters, large white circle glitters, and light blue triangle glitters.

Of course with a name like Bermuda Triangle, this polish is going to be unique and fun! Of course, it had to have triangle glitters as well!

Shown above is two coats of Bermuda Triangle with a very thick coat of top coat. There was still texture from the larger glitters, so you will want to put extra top coat on if you want it to be 100% smooth. Texture has never bothered me (it's actually one of my favorite finishes), so I was fine with the one coat.

Next is Sunny Side up, a bright Springy yellow with tons of scattered holographic.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this polish from just the bottle color. Yellow isn't really a color that I lean towards, and especially not darker ones. I ended up trying this first without a white base, but it's too thin to be worn without.

Shown above is one thick coat of Sunny Side Up over OPI's Funny Bunny. I applied a single coat of glossy top coat to add shine. This is a super easy to smooth polish with almost no time between application and perfectly smooth!

Last of the May box is May Flowers, Too. This is the second rendition of May Flowers (which is below for comparison). May Flowers, Too is a white crelly base with large orchid hexagon glitters, smaller glitters in purple and green, and microglitters in peach and blue! Basically, it's a gorgeous field of flowers on your nails!

Look at all of the fun in this polish!

This is one of those polishes that is so easy to use, and you can use as much or as little as you desire. I used two coats and the white became fully opaque, and you can see all of the fun of the glitters. Shown above is two coats of May Flowers, Too with one coat of glossy top coat. The top coat is needed to get the polish smoothed out, due to the glitters.

As an added bonus, I also have May Flowers, to compare to May Flowers, Too. This was sent as part of this review for comparison! May Flowers is a thermal green to white base with hex, circle, and daisy glitters!

May Flowers is a thermal (color changing) that goes from a green base (cold) to a white base (warm). For the swatches below, there is three thin coats of May Flowers with one coat of glossy top coat. Two coats would have been fine, but it was freezing when I was using this and I wanted to make sure it would be thick enough when warm.

May Flowers, cold.

May Flowers, Transitioning.

May Flowers, warm. I love it when it's warm, because it reminds me so much of the May Flowers, Too. The bases are similar and I love that they both have so much glitter! Between the two, I think the original would have to be my favorite, just due to the fun factor of a thermal! May Flowers, Too does a great job of revamping the original in a new way!
Overall, I loved this box! The colors are perfect for Spring/May and I love the new May Flowers, Too! This box is already sold out, but the June box is still available! I have spoilers on my Snapchat (ramblingsubaddi), but trust me that you need this box!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
