Pretentious Namesake - inspired by Viserion (named after her younger brother Viserys). A cream base with a[n] orange/bronze shift and gold to green sparkles.
This is such a light and feminine shade, it is perfect! I love shades like this where it's neutral but powerful at the same time. Who can say no to putting a great creamy gold on their lids?
Protective Aggressor - inspired by Drogon (named after Khal Drogo). A black base with red/orange overlay and bronze sparkles.
This is definitely a BAM! shade. It's super dark and absolutely perfect for date night. The shimmer is perfect and it has plenty of sparkle to make you feel extra fancy.
Stoic - inspired by Rhaegal (named after her late brother Rhaegar). A green base with a strong gold/red/bronze shift.
When I first looked at this at first, I was sure it would cause me to run for the hills (I had a terrifying experience with a similar shade of green and a flower girl dress when I was younger). I was surprised how well this worked on my skin, though. It's a perfect springy color and the shift is amazing!
Stormborn Mystic Matte - created after the Mother herself, a dark pink based purple with silver/pink sparkles. I didn't swatch this because I knew it would be a shade I would pass along, so I didn't want to try it and not be able to share.
Overall I really loved the April bag. I've never watched Game of Thrones (I have the books on my iPad, I just need to read them), so I didn't necessarily understand the shades at first. Even without knowing right off where the shades came from, I still was able to easily enjoy them and love them! The hint for next month is: 'Dig it babe, you need a new look.'
As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
