Marvel Collector Corps - December 2015
What is Marvel Collector Corps?: Marvel Collector Corps is a bimonthly subscription box that is curated and sent out by Marvel itself. Each box will have a theme that coincides with a release that's upcoming. Last box was Ant Man and came in around the time the Ant Man movie came out. This month's theme is Secret Wars, which definitely caught my attention. Since there aren't any Marvel movies coming out soon, I was interested to see what this box would include. How Much is Marvel Collector Corps?: Marvel Collector Corps is $25/month (plus $6.95 shipping) or $150/year (plus $41.70 shipping). If you do the year-long subscription, you become part of the Founders Program and get a special gift at the end of your year. If you didn't do the math, I'll just tell you - you don't get any type of discount for doing the yearly program, it's just to make things easier.

It's time for the Guardians of the Galaxy box! I was looking forward to this box, as Guardians of the Galaxy was one of my favorite movies of the year!
Rocket Racoon Patch ($5.00) - This is so adorable. I like that it's not the super nice Rocket, that it's more like the comic version.
Groot Pin ($5.00) - Oh my, I've never seen Groot so angry! He's my favorite character from the movie (like there was any question), but this one is definitely more intimidating than movie Groot!
Pop! Ceramic Mug (Star-Lord) ($14.99) - The Pop Mugs are adorable, and they come in tons of different characters! This one is a Marvel Collector Corps Exclusive, so it's special! It's a little wide and reminds me more of a small soup bowl than a mug, but it's perfect for any use!
Pop Bobblers (Groot & Rocket) ($14.99) - These are so adorable! I've seen some people take them out and make them into ornaments for their Christmas tree, which is a great idea! I have so many full-sized Pops of Groot, and this reminds me of my Christmas Groot! Definitely a huge win in my book! This is another Marvel Collector Corps exclusive!
Guardians of the Galaxy Scarf ($14.99) - Isn't this just perfect! It has all five members of the Guardians and is super soft and warm. I love scarves, but this one is my first nerdy/geeky one! I love the length on it, and the pattern on the back is perfect! (See below)
Guardians of Infinity Comic Book ($4.99) - Woot! I might actually open this comic book, because I'll never get rid of this one! I love that they are taking better care of the comics now, as the past two haven't had any problems! And isn't Groot just the cutest? I believe this cover is a variant, as this is a comic series recently announced with a different cover.
This box was valued at my estimated $59.96, which is purely based on eBay and my own knowledge as all of these were exclusives! Still, I definitely got my value from this box. I did see a bit of concern and unhappiness because this box did not have a true Pop in it and the box did seem geared more towards women (due to the scarf). I would like to use this chance to remind everyone that this is a Funko box, not a Pop Box, and therefore will have Funko products but not always Pops. It's still a great valued box and perfect for nerds or Marvel lovers!
