Pretty & Polished Beauty Box - November 2015

What is Pretty and Polished?: Pretty and Polished is an indie nail polish brand that also sells bath & body products, nail vinyls, and this Beauty Box! This is a box that you get to choose which months you want to get, rather than a subscription that you have to cancel or skip. Just remember to buy it each month if you want to continue!

How Much is Pretty and Polished Beauty Box?: Pretty and Polished Beauty Box is only $22.00/month! Each box contains a coupon that could be 10% off or $5.00 off to use in the store as well, which means you can get more polish and products from this amazing maker. You can buy for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months at a time, and the boxes are cheaper at 6 months!

We're back to basic boxes for Pretty & Polished, which is fine!

Back to the Fuchsia - This looks like just a general purple polish with pink pieces, right? Well, you're wrong. Back to the Fuchsia is a thermal (color changing) polish! When it's cold, it's the fuchsia purple you see in the bottle shot. When it's warm, it's a fuchsia pink, seen in the swatch below. This is my first thermal polish, so I was super excited. It's been super chilly recently, so I couldn't keep it fully pink in the swatch. There is just the slightest bit of texture from the glitter pieces, which is easily solved with a top coat!

Cold swatch, two coats.

Warm swatch, two coats. Apologies that my tips were turning purple.

Midnight Matinee - Check out this gorgeousness. It's a black base with tons of glitter pieces! I've found purple, red, blue, and black so far, and it all complements each other so nicely. I love how it is almost a microglitter, but the black base makes the glitters pop! It does feel like a microglitter when on, meaning that there is texture and it's a bit rough. Not quite like Julep's Stardust, but there's still some there. I got it smoothed out with two coats, but one thicker coat should do the same.

Swatch, two coats.

Golden Opportunity - It's like the purest sand from the cleanest beach, mixed with gold shards. It's also a bit textured, which of course means I love it regardless. It applied so easily and didn't cause any problems at all. I love the way that the light picked up the gold and added a bit of sparkle!

Swatch, two coats.

Extras included a cleaning brush and a Mani Shooter in Cherry Jello. I love how easy these Mani Shooters are to use, perfect if you want just a little or if you want a lot! It also smells amazing, which I'm always a fan of.

Overall, this month was a huge win. I absolutely loved Midnight Matinee and Golden Opportunity, but Midnight Matinee took my heart. I'm always going to be a fan of tons of color put against a black background! If you want to see my other reviews of Pretty & Polished Beauty Box, be sure to click here!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
