The bag is textured, as you can see where the light is hitting, and it feels like it could be used daily without ripping super quick or easily.
The theme for August is Prep School. I'm not sure what I was expecting from this theme with the items, but the bag matches the theme.
Beauty Without Cruelty Leave-In Conditioner ($2.34) - I have a ton of different leave-in conditioners that I've been working through using, but I wanted to see if this one worked better or worse than non-aromatherapy leave-in conditioners. It worked decently but it smells terrible (to me). That part is 100% my opinion, only because I'm not a fan of super strong smells. Almost like a really strong rosemary, which is something I've never really liked.
Eco-Beauty Good Night. Night Cream ($11.76) - This night cream is supposed to do what most other creams do: get rid of wrinkles and make your skin smoother. I don't have a ton of wrinkles, but I can see that I'm getting more of them the older I get. It's not really enough to see some serious changes, but it does go on nicely and doesn't leave a filmy or sticky residue. It also smells pretty generic, which is very nice for me. It's very expensive, so I probably won't repurchase it, but it's nice to use until I get some from another box!
Hikari Cosmetics Lip Gloss (Salsa) ($13.00) - This was a little sticky, and it's very BRIGHT. For some reason, my camera was having issues focusing in the swatches below, which I thoroughly apologize for. I could see this being a very popular color, but the other option was much more my style (dark mauve). It lasts for quite some time, however, and it's nice that it's a full-size.
Pencil Me In Cosmetics Eye Pencil (Boysenberry) ($6.99) - I LOVE this color. It's a dark blue, almost purple, and it's perfect for me. I love wearing liners in colors besides black, so this dark blue is amazing. It went on smoothly and it's in a real pencil style. The cap is also a sharpener, which makes it super convenient to use.
Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler (Wine) ($12.00) - Skone's liner option this month is a lip/eye liner combo, which is so weird. The colors are all pinks/oranges/reds, so I'm not sure I would use any of them as an eyeliner. I tried this one in Wine, and I ended up looking like I had pink-eye. As a lip liner, it's pretty nice. I'm not usually a wearer of lip liners, so I'll pass it along to someone else.
Hikari, Skone, Pencil Me In.
This month's bag was valued at $46.09, which is really great for a $10 bag. Most of the items are something that I will use or can find a use for them, so I consider it a win. I really loved this new liner from a brand that's new to me, Pencil Me In. Overall, I consider this month's Ipsy a good month.
As always, let me know what you thought about this box in the comments!
