Boxycharm vs Ipsy vs Birchbox - June 2015

This will be the last comparison of the big three boxes. As I stated here, I am not getting Birchbox for the time. If there's another combination of boxes you think would be good for comparison, please let me know and I'll look into it! Check out past BoxycharmBirchbox, and Ipsy as well!

June's Boxycharm was valued at $117.99 and was actually a really great box for me. It included Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush, Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask, The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream, Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow Single, and ncLA Nail Lacquer. For how disappointed I've been with Boxycharm in recent months, I was really happy with what I got this month!
My favorite, surprisingly, was the highlighter. I rarely find highlighters from mainstream brands that I can actually use. This box was entirely a shock, though, because all products could be used across all women and there wasn't anything that was drastic or crazy.

June's Birchbox was a pretty big disappointment, valued only at $13.60. This box, as well as past boxes and failings in customer service recently, led me to the decision to cancel. In June's box, I received Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo, CoTZ Sensitive SPF 40, Temple Spa In Good Condition Conditioner, L.Erickson Grab & Go Ponytail Holder, Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner, and Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Day Tint.
In all that I received, I really only liked the eyeliner. In one box, I received more shampoo/conditioner, a sunscreen, and a Dr.Jart product (that was too dark/yellow for me). It was like they wanted me to cancel.

June's main Ipsy was valued at $40.44, which was pretty great for a $10 bag. In this bag, I received Keratherapy Daily Smoothing Cream, dr.brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, J.Cat Liptitude 24/7 Hydrating Lipstain, and treStiQue Mini Shadow Crayon.
Strangely, I think the hair smoothing cream was my favorite for the month. Usually hair products are hit or miss for me, just because my hair is so weird, but this one worked wonderfully. It has worked both when I've done my hair curly/wavy and when I straightened it, all without it being too weighed down or looking greasy. Of course, I was angry about the dr.brandt product, but that disappointment was overshadowed by the rest of the bag!

June's second Ipsy was valued at $41.91, which was just awesome! As a reminder, this is my second bag and it gives a bit of an idea as to what you might get as your first bag. I do not review any of the items that come with this box, so it's based on my (very generic) profile completely. It included Pure Brazillian Miracle Leave In Conditioner, dr.brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Absolute NY Nail Lacquer, and treStiQue Mini Shadow Crayon. As you can see, I did get some duplicates, which is to be expected.
My favorite was once again the hair product, the leave-in conditioner. I have been trying to use more hair products that I've been getting, and this works great. I have another leave-in conditioner, but it's a cream so this one is still different to me. Again, if I could choose no dr.brandt products, I would, but it didn't ruin my bag or even cause unhappiness.

Overall, my Ipsy bags were my favorites. I received a ton of new things and some more primers, which are always great to put in my travel/purse bags. As I said before, this will be my last comparison of Boxycharm, Birchbox, and Ipsy, as I'm no longer getting Birchbox. If you want other bags/boxes compared, let me know and I'll work on getting that together!

As always, let me know what you thought about this comparison in the comments!
